We were sent this novel game from Drumond Park; it was really original and lots of fun. The idea is you hide the plate stands and then before the timer runs out hopefully have placed plates on them (using the spin machine to make sure they are adequately spinning around of course!).
You can also adapt it so if you are playing with younger children its not as difficult, not hiding them just having them in a cluster next to each other! You can also do a hardcore version for daddy making it really hard and get him to do some much needed exercise running around the whole house looking for the stands… we got him working up quite a sweat! It was hilarious.
When you have all plates on the plate stands you can then stop the timer and mark your time, the person with the quickest time is the winner. The Olympics might have been exciting but Spin Mania will be just as thrilling, testing your speed and agility to the limit!
The game retails for £22.99 and is very fast paced with all the dashing about and trying desperately to keep the plate spinning on the spin spike, I was willing it to keep going on my turn. You do get quite addicted to this game; it is quite absorbing with the thrill of it all. Here is eldest deep in concentration, making sure he does it!
Requires 2 x C Batteries so make sure you have some in. Let the battle of the steady hand champion begin! For children aged 6 + but our five year old absolutely loved the challenge.
