Getting ready for Bonfire Night

The other week we held a craft event to prepare some rockets and firework inspired hats for Bonfire Night.  There are plans underfoot for all the children to have a procession before the lighting of the bonfire and the excitement of the display carrying the items they made at the event.

I was tasked with helping on one of the tables!  Unfortunately I got the messy table, the one with oodles of glue, paint, glitter and very enthusiastic children eager to get sticking… so basically it was the most popular!!!

Here is eldest with his creation:

Youngest enjoyed doing some chalk drawings.

They also made a guy separately which sadly did not win a prize in the competition at school, I can understand why though when I saw the other amazing entries.  The head of our guy was rolling around when I took him in and his padding had shifted so he had muscles in very unusual places!!!

  1. I like your guy - I'm loving his multicoloured hair.
