Kellogg’s Supporting your Child’s Breakfast Club

It is that time of year again when your school can apply for a grant to support the running of their breakfast club or to set one up for the first time.

Whether they need a bit of extra funds for staff time or games to keep it running smoothly and extra cereals to keep everyone well fed (with the £200 of Kellogg’s cereal vouchers) this grant is just the thing to help.  Completely new clubs are offered £400 and the opportunity to attend a Kellogg’s Breakfast Club Information Day with additional help and tips to ensure its success.

If you would like to apply then head to their website the awarded schools should be based in disadvantaged communities where it will be needed most.  You have until the 31st of March to apply, so make sure you fit the criteria and get your application in soon!

A staggering 1,000 schools will be awarded the grant.  Breakfast clubs are a real asset helping parents and children alike and its wonderful that Kellogg’s are so active in assisting schools in this way.  Too many children miss breakfast, which is such an important meal of the day, breakfast clubs ensure children do not go hungry and can focus on learning instead.  For the parents with raising childcare costs a breakfast club makes getting to work on time a real possibility without having to find the extra money.

I would love for my followers to let everyone know about the scheme and the deadline to apply for the grant.  I will pick one person who has helped to receive £50 of Kellogg’s cereal vouchers to donate to their local school, just complete the little rafflecopter below by the 26th of March.
