Win Tickets to the 10th Anniversary of Wychwood, the ultimate family festival!

I love taking the children on day’s out, weekend’s away and trips to new places.  I had not heard of this event, I do not quiet know how it fell off my radar!  But now I know ALL about it, I will be adding it to my to do list at some point, it just sounds so family friendly, which is perfect for us.  Music for the adults to enjoy and plenty for the children too, so you feel everyone's entertainment needs are happily met.  I have been looking through the pictures and it does look quite spectacular, so your in for a treat with this competition.



Having been nominated for Best Family Festival every year at the UK Festival Awards, Britain’s most loved family festival, Wychwood, will once again be taking residence at its’ home of Cheltenham Racecourse Gloucestershire from 30th May to 1st June celebrating ten years of family, folk and world music.


Boasting a plethora of workshops to amuse all members of the family so no one will be feeling left out. Be sure to ignite your artistic flares inspired at Wychwoods choice of craft workshops, feel energised through yoga, savor mouthwatering food, chuckle at the comedy and for the adults, quench your thirst with a variety of real ales.

To enchant, educate and excite, the Children’s Literature Festival will be featuring well-loved authors and illustrators thanks to recognised book retailer Waterstones. The return of Roald Dahl Museum and their superior animated storytellers bringing to life the world of the B.F.G., Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Twits.


Amusing and thrilling shows include the Electric Cabaret bringing a new mime show to the Family Theatre, percussion group Glamba who fuse Brazilian, African and Western beats played on drum kits, dustbins and congas and the Bubble Show with SamSam the BubbleMan the most famous bubbleologist in the world plus many many more will be entertaining over the weekend.


Wychwood impresses with over 100 bands across four stages including sounds of soul legends The Real Thing, heritage favorites The Stranglers, Irish New Wave band The Boomtown Rats complete with Sir Bob Geldof and disco and soul guru Craig Charles. Folk lovers will not be left disappointed as Merry Hell, a modern folk-rock band and Polly and the Billets Doux, a harmony blend of country, blues and folk will bring the distinguished genre at the heart of Wychwood alive.

Celebrating 10 years of Britain’s best-loved family festival, undeniable friendly atmosphere in a stunning location and fantastic programme the celebration will be the biggest and best yet. Wychwood is incomparable to most family festival and a worthy addition to any families’ calendar.

Wychwood Festival takes place on Cheltenham Racecourse from 30th May – 1st June 2014. Weekend Festival Tickets for Children/Adults/ Concessions are from £125.00, Under 5’s go free but must register for a ticket. Camping passes must be purchased in addition to a festival ticket.   21. This is a great festival and well worth investigating! It's great for the kids, but crucially there is plenty for grown ups too. Like a gin and tonic van. That I might bring home with me if I win.
