We always pass by on trips to the cinema but never venture inside, this time I asked hubbie if we could have a little look around instead of rushing straight home. I am glad we did, as it was a pleasant walk. I always worry my boys will be fed up being dragged around an attraction like this, but they really enjoyed themselves.
There was plenty to see and they can make their own adventures in such an expanse of space. You do need to rely on good weather though.
The highlights was walking across the stepping stones and not slipping into the water.
But eldest was just quite happy trying to follow the map and seeing what he could discover along the way.
I like that the boys are getting plenty of fresh air, always helps come bedtime!
I think I will spend the £98 soon on annual membership so as a family (of 2 adults and 2 children) we can access 300 National Trust properties and gardens, you only need four visits to start seeing a return within the year, which is excellent value all round especially as they are surprisingly lovely days out.
National Trust have an exclusive competition running at the moment to win a garden tour of Bodnant and some expert advice, it closes on the 11th of April and has low entries so far, so better odds! If you fancy entering then head to their facebook page and share a picture of your favourite garden in the comments section.
