The boys have enjoyed a Christmas dinner at school, complete with crackers and festive music. It was a lovely atmosphere and the children were in high spirits. I helped in the canteen as I work relief when I can; largely I have been able to do more this week thanks to PayPal having sorted out my Christmas shopping.
If I was still scrambling around trying to buy their presents I could never have committed so much time to working at the school this last week. It was really wonderful being able to see my own children so happy and settled with their friends tucking into a delicious lunch. Plus the catering assistants were treated to a Christmas dinner too, which served as the ideal motivation to work through the mountainous washing up pile…
We also made a point of taking the boys ice skating, it was a little cold and wet but they enjoyed giving it a try. Eldest even got the hang of it minus the helping penguin after a while and you could see his confidence steadily growing.
Youngest braved going round the sides with a kind lady and myself in tow holding onto him. I was a little wobbly, but it was a fabulous experience trying ice-skating again after twenty years, even if we mainly kept to the sides! The snow machine was a fun addition, it really looked like it was snowing.
We have a Christmas tree festival to squeeze in still with more mulled wine to drink and mince pies to sample! We are also looking forward to the festive #MyOnesieLand event for NOWTV, we have been sent the onesies ready and certainly look the part as you can see in the picture.
I think we have definitely managed to squeeze in more magical Christmas moments this year and it can only be down to my involvement with PayPal. Now if only PayPal could get rid of our winter germs too!!!
You still have time to win a PS4 sharing your own moments on their facebook page, the competition closes on the 21st of December.
