We have been fortunate to have some lovely trips and experiences together as a family throughout 2014.
A real treat was heading to Aardman Studio’s for the #PigbyAndFriends Event, it was exciting heading inside the studio building and learning more about the new app. The boys were pleased to try their hand at model making and here you can see our three piggies.
In February we went to Wookey Hole, it’s a fabulous place with the underground caverns to explore all dimly lit and full of adventure. Eldest tried his hand at paper making.
In March we visited Alton Towers we made the most of all the rides and attractions but one of our most memorable moments was having our hands cleaned by shrimps in the SEALIFE aquarium.
We also went to Trentham Monkey Forest Walk so the boys could walk alongside free roaming monkeys. It was a wonderful experience for my nature loving boys, really fascinating seeing the Barbary macaques interacting in their environment.
The boys were happy to stroll around Bodnant Garden and discover the beauty of the gardens.
The boys had a very authentic experience in Blists Hill Victorian Town in April; it was a pleasure seeing the delight on their faces exploring the interesting town. They enjoyed decorating the candles especially.
We managed to fit in tea with the Easter Bunny. It was rather magical for the boys and enjoyable for the grown up's too as we had a cream tea!.
We made our yearly visit to LEGOLAND this time for the #AhoyLEGOLAND event to celebrate the remodeling of the Pirate Shores section. We love LEGOLAND so any excuse to visit is good by us!
Being in the area we also decided to review Chessington and I am glad we did, plenty to do and see but also a memorable experience feeding the lorikeets nectar. This was my favourite part of the attraction and it was amazing getting this close to these beautiful birds.
My boys liked the first few Harry Potter films so they were very happy to head to the Harry Potter Studio and immerse themselves in magic including a wands skill session!
Enginuity museum was great for an educational visit. Youngest and daddy managed to build a wobble proof building!
Thorpe Park was fun, the boys liked seeing the Angry Bird rides and braving their first rollercoaster in the dark! We even managed to drag daddy on that!!!
We had press passes for the Pet Show 2014 if you have not been before I would highly recommend it, the boys held a whole host of different creatures from tiny little chicks, stick insects and baby tortoises.
We went camping for the first time as a family, its actually my first time full stop! I would definitely recommend the Hatton Adventure World Family Camping Weekend, it was a great introduction to camping as there was so much to do even if the weather turned!
We went to LolliBop 2014 as VIP guests and one of the best bits was eldest handling an armadillo! How often can you say you have met one of those. If you have never been to LolliBop you must its jam packed with your favourite characters and interactive stands, talks, cooking demonstrations and more!
It has been such a lovely year really and hopefully we have lots more blogging adventures to look forward to in 2015.
