If you are new mum, congratulations! There is no better feeling than seeing that bundle of joy after hours of horrendous labour. Let us be honest, though, it was worth it, right? If they are a busy-mum, like most of us 21st century women, you will understand how important it is to be fully prepared for what the day might bring. We always need to make sure we have enough food, nappies, toys etc. even just for a trip the corner shop. To make life, that little bit easier, check out this list of must-haves for busy mums.
Sandals from Art
As a busy mum it’s important that you have footwear that isn’t going to make your feet sore. You probably feel like you never sit down and you are on your feet for hours on end, so a comfy pair of foot wear is definitely a must-have. The brand Art are good for this type of thing, you can find some online at the likes of tReds – which will save you time nipping to the shops.
Fashionable Baby Bag
If you feel like you’ve not got enough hands, think about doubling your handbag and baby bag into one by purchasing a fashionable baby bag. There are a range of stylish ones out there, such as ones with paisley flowers, Aztec patterns or not-so-lovely polka dots. Make sure you purchase one that is easy to wash and easily attaches to your pram.
Life with kids means waking up at all hours of the night, so you need something to entertain yourself whilst you are nursing, feeding or rocking them back to sleep. A Netflix subscription will keep you entertained for hours. This makes being up in the middle of the night, that little bit bearable and saves you from going insane.
Decent coffee maker
It may be a bit pricey, but a decent coffee maker will give you that pick me up and alertness you need when you get up in the morning. It also feels like the perfect treat for when your kids are asleep and you are taking that half an hour enjoying a decent, well-made brew and putting your feet up.
With summer just around the corner, it is important to have suitable summer-wear. Maxi-dresses are perfect as most are lightweight and they cover up your legs; perfect for when you haven’t had chance to shave them (we are all guilty).
Get a swing
If you are a stay-at-home mum, you are likely to spend a lot of time doing housework, as well as looking after the kids and cooking dinner. It can be difficult getting these tasks done when you have a child, especially a new-born. A great idea is to get a swing to put baby in and keep her occupied while you do your housework, or even just nipping to the bathroom.
