Christmas Gift Guide For The Home

My favourite gift for the home has to be the Tassimo Suny (RRP £119.99) from Bosch we were sent to review.  It is such a chic and gorgeous gift! It is very versatile allowing you to make coffees, teas (green, fruit or more traditional varieties) and hot chocolate with ease and no mess!  Just add water to the back, your chosen drinks T DISC in the front, press the button and look forward to a pleasant drink every time.  Hot chocolate can be such a pain at times, all the stirring to get the powder to dissolve, but the Tassimo way is more effective, convenient and much quicker.

The drinks range is very comprehensive, giving you access to drinks you might not normally get the opportunity to enjoy in the home (like Costa coffee).  We are going to hunt down Tassimo Oreo and Milka Chocolate T DISC's next, as they sound very tempting and indulgent.

The autumn red edition we were sent is especially eye catching and the perfect size for our kitchen, not too big and bulky.  It has been a pleasure being able to offer our visitors a wider range of refreshments, so far everyone has been delighted with their drinks.

I think the House Family Photo Frame is a lovely gift for the home, the quality is great for the price £19.99.  It’s a good size, plenty of space to store lots of pictures, those cherished memories of your family together.  If you wanted to make it an extra special gift you could fill it with pictures before wrapping it up for Christmas.  Despite its size it is still lightweight so easy enough to hang.  I like how all the 12 spaces for pictures have the sizes on them so you can soon make sure you have the right sized photos for the frames needs.

If you are looking for something that will add colour to a room, this Umbra Mariposa Multicolour Wall Decor from Red Candy are especially eye catching, the butterflies are so very pretty and really do brighten up your living space.  They only cost £9.90 so would make an affordable gift for anyone who wants to make their rooms more attractive.

Red Candy also sent me one of the Flamingo Candles (£12.00), these have strong appealing scents.  They have a burn time of 50 hours so you can enjoy them for a considerable period of time.  I personally think candles make fantastic presents, I always feel I start to relax and unwind when we light a few of an evening.

If you like using candles in winter for the comforting glow and warmth they bring to a room Yankee Candle are another must for Christmas gifts!  We were sent the advent calendar to try out and lighting all the little tea lights and appreciating the festive fragrances has made me want to order some more soon.  I always feel more cosy when we turn off the main lights and enjoy the twinkling candlelight instead.

The Sass & Belle Wooden Owl Coaster Set £12.99 was a very welcome addition to our home. They are very cute coasters and practical too.  They come in their own little case to keep them tidy when not in use. They make a thoughtful gift for those who like owls and the engraved details are very pretty.

Abominable Ice Tray £8.99 has such a fantastic design I did not put them in the children's category because I think children AND adults alike will enjoy getting these as a gift.  Your average ice cube is nowhere near as exciting as an iced yeti!  This would have been a student essential back in my university days, I can just imagine my friends reactions to these novel ice creations.

I am not a fan of the cold, its okay to look outside and appreciate the frosty backdrop as long as inside the house I am snug and warm!  Heat Holders are big on making life warmer and I am a huge fan of their products.  They have come along way since their thermal socks now they have thermal underwear, gloves, tights & leggings, Snugovers Fleece Jumpers and Snuggle Ups Blankets all making you feel more comfortable and content in and out of your home.

We were sent the Snuggle Ups Blanket (£23.99) and hubbie quickly claimed it as his.  It's such a soft and snuggly blanket and the 1.4 tog rating works a treat helping you quickly defrost after being out in the bitter weather.

Flowers are always a well received gift, but it can be complicated arranging a delivery as so many people are out at various events (work socials and school nativities) this time of year and you do not want to ruin the surprise by letting them know to expect them.  Beards and Daisies have resolved that with their fresh flowers delivery service that fit through the letterbox.  There is a choice of six different flowers boxes ranging from £22.99 to £26.99, you can either send a one off gift or set up a three month subscription (costing £59.99) to make it more special.  The flowers are beautiful and look much more expensive than the price.

A decent pair of headphones are always handy whether for listening to music or watching TV. When the boys are sleeping depending on what shows we are watching on Netflix I would rather they did not get woken up by the sound of gunfire (Son's of Anarchy has a lot to answer for!!!). The CX 3.00 from Sennheiser (£44.99) are comfortable to wear which for me is one of the most important features, obviously sound quality is essential too, but these headphones are an all round quality product for the price.  You can really focus on what you are listening to as the noise cancellation is very effective.  The design is attractive with the red and black combo.
