The Easter holidays are behind us but the boys have some wonderful memories to hang on to. Hubbie was mainly working but on a rare day off we had a lovely day trip to Llandudno, we decided to do something different and headed to a free farm called Bodafon that we had heard about but never took the opportunity to visit before.
If you are in the area its well worth stopping by, the owls are so cute, there is a play park and animals to feed (a bag of feed was £1). We bought the wood fired pizza for our lunch and would highly recommend it, eldest said it was the best pizza he had ever tasted and went over to tell the person who made it as much.
Then we thought we would go up the Great Orme on the tram but it was having maintenance from the midway point, so we decided to wait till we could take the tram to the very top. So we ended the day with ice cream instead, fortunately we found The Looking Glass Ice Cream Parlour; I loved the décor of the place.
They also had the most heavenly waffles, it was a very indulgent treat and we will be back to try out some of the other flavours of ice cream soon.
You can tell our family has a sweet tooth as when we did Easter baking we didn't just stop at chocolate brownies they had to be Cream Egg Chocolate Brownies!
We also did some more geocaching, we tried out a new location but it took us a bit longer than we expected so will be back again soon to finish the circuit. There was not so much "treasure" on this occasion, but youngest was over the moon when he found a thimble! Eldest is just pleased to be first to spot the cache.
We did our annual Easter egg hunt around the garden, the boys still believe in the Easter bunny and daddy rings him to arrange the hiding of some Easter treats and the boys hide inside so they don't see him busy at work! This year they were awarded stickers for different things (like finding the most difficult prize or finding the most), which they really enjoyed.
You really cannot beat time as a family.
