Persil Wild Explorers App #dirtisgood

To coincide with the launch of the exciting Persil Wild Explorers app available on both iOS and Android a giant mud volcano was unveiled in London.  Sadly we could not make the event to see the 7ft tall and 10ft wide structure erupt, but we did get sent our own mini version to try out at home.  It is quite easy for you to make your own, you will need baking soda, vinegar, earth and a volcano mould.

I am more than happy for the boys to have muddy adventures, I am a firm believer that #dirtisgood and with Persil Bio able to remove the toughest of stains the state of their clothes is not an issue!

As it’s the long summer holidays I was also quick to download the free app to get lots more inspiration for outdoor activities we can try as a family.  The app is very user friendly, you tick where you want to head (whether its on your doorstep, in a park or woodland or by a river or coast) you list how long you want the activity to last (from 10 mins to 2 - 4 hours) and you select your child’s age (2-5, 6-11 or 12+).  As the boys enjoyed the Mud Volcano so much I have a feeling they would be keen to try out the other activities too.

Now you do not need worry that children are “bored!” or having too much screen time, you can quickly get a new activity suggestion and head off outdoors quick smart.  Before summer is out hopefully we can build a wormery, make a butterfly feeder and get creative with Stone Art (plus many more).  Lots of the ideas are educational so help with development as well as giving children plenty of fresh air and a chance to encounter nature.  There are over 100 activities in total to choose from so you can keep the children occupied all summer and give them incredible muddy memories to last a lifetime!

  1. Since we have an allotment dirty is unavoidable! I like the look of this app.

  2. My two are always happy wen they're dirty - it doesn't matter that they're 11 and 13 ;-)

  3. That sounds like an app that would be right up my street! I can't think of anything better than being outside getting dirty.
