LEGOLAND Fireworks and Brick Or Treat

On Saturday we visited LEGOLAND to see their Fireworks Spectacular, it was quite something to behold.  I would definitely recommend getting the 3D glasses for the children (£1.50 each) so they can see the bricks; my eldest just kept saying over and over again “Whoa”.

He really was very impressed with it all, apparently it is the best firework display he has ever seen.  Accompanying the display we could hear the LEGO Nexo Knights having some kind of battle, but as we were positioned so high up we could not see what exactly that involved - if you want to see more your probably best off heading to one of the official viewing area's around Miniland and Lego City.  This one by the stage looked promising.

The boys however were pleased with just the music and watching the sky light up.  They kept dancing, watching and smiling.  It was the perfect end to another incredible day in LEGOLAND.

We had placed ourselves strategically near the exit so we could make a quick escape out of the car park when it had finished, although the rides were open until 8pm.  We would have taken advantage of the later opening time instead but the weather had been quite bad an hour before the fireworks started (we were a bit cold and wet!) and after being thoroughly entertained by the fireworks we were eager to head off home.  The fireworks lasted about 15 minutes but it felt much longer, LEGOLAND kept the momentum going and it was so beautiful to watch.  I really liked the pretty rockets that would sparkle after exploding.

I do like the consideration that LEGOLAND have placed in ensuring the emptying of the car park will be well managed; they even had temporary traffic lights at the roundabout as you leave LEGOLAND.  The fireworks continue on the 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th of October and the 5th of November so if you can time your visit on one of those dates.

It’s a great time to visit LEGOLAND at the moment, not only do you have the fireworks but also the Brick or Treat event which officially starts from the 17th of October although we had a small taste of it on Saturday.

The boys liked walking around the Enchanted Forest, which was dotted with pumpkins and had a few additional activities happening.  Creating a LEGO pumpkin and helping with the Halloween mosaic were definite highlights.

LEGOLAND continues to pleasantly surprise us with something new and magical to do each and every visit.  I happened to notice a sign saying Ninjago World is opening in 2017… squeal!  Any excuse for a return visit.

  1. My friend went to this, I missed it but will be looking out for it next year, we have not done Lego land yet as my two are small so never normally pass the height restrictions!

  3. We still have not been to LegoLand and my boys always ask - I really have to take them - especially now that Ninjago might be on the scene! I have to say that I love that they're committed to helping people leave the car park - we were say for over an hour and a half trying to get out of a theme park last year, it was ridiculous with little children.
