Smyths Toys Superstores Announce the Top Toys for Christmas 2017

Now its October Christmas is most definitely on the horizon, its won’t be long before my boys start earnestly circling items from the Smyths catalogue.  Sometimes in the run up to Christmas we go instore and the boys gaze longingly at certain toys and I make mental notes to buy them when I shop sans kids!

But most of all it’s important to be prepared because the popular toys can sell out!  It gets tricky then because children who still believe in the MAGIC of Christmas wouldn’t understand why a much wished-for present is not under the tree!  It reminds me of the film Jingle All the Way and the difficulty Arnold Schwarzenegger getting hold of a Turbo Man action figure, so to save wrestling in the aisles please order in advance!

I think it helps to research which toys are going to be the predicted top sellers so you have a better idea of the toys that might sell out.  www.Smythstoys.com have just revealed their list, so if you think any of these will be on your children’s Christmas lists snap them up quick!  The list is also great for inspiration if your child doesn’t really know what they want it gives some ideas that can help.

So, without further ado let me introduce you to the Smyths Toys Superstores Top Toys 2017 List:

1. FurReal Roarin’ Tyler the Playful Tiger

2. LEGO Ninjago Movie Destiny's Bounty

3. PJ Masks Deluxe Talking Figure 4-Pack

4. Laser X

5. Paw Patrol Sea Patroller

6. Sky Viper Stunt Drone

7. Imaginext DC Super Friends Batbot Xtreme

8. Nerf Modulus Regulator

9. Luvabella Doll

10. Toilet Trouble Game

11. LOL Surprise Big Surprise

12. Bush Baby World Dream Tree and Bush Babies

13. Cozmo by Anki

14. Our Generation Healthy Paws Vet Clinic

15. Thomas & Friends Super Station

As my boys are 8 and 10 I have a good idea which of the products they would LOVE from the list.

We really liked the Anki Overdrive set we reviewed last year so are quite excited that the company have brought out another product.  I think the boys would be drawn to the Cozmo by Anki (£199.99) but it is expensive, although it does sound like an extremely clever robot with features that keep updating through the free app.  He has a BIG personality for such a little robot!  Children will love his range of emotions, he is quite the character, his robot expressions are adorable.

Nerf guns I have temporarily banned from our houses as we already have loads of them and the boys keep hurting each other in battle, Nerf guns have taken sibling scuffles to the next level here!  Shame really as we have had so much fun with them in the past.  I would be tempted to get the Laser X (currently £44.99) instead as they can shoot at each other and not physically injure one another.  It would appeal to the gamer in them too.

And finally, the LEGO Ninjago Movie Destiny's Bounty (£109.99) looks incredible, my two regularly play with their LEGO so I always think sets like this are a good investment.  Although my father in law always tells me off when I don’t keep the box it comes in as he says LEGO has a great resale value when children eventually outgrow it.  I plan on saving ours for the grandkids though!

What do you think your child would like most from the list?
