Signature Gifts Personalised Books Review and Competition

were sent three children’s books from the available range at Signature Gifts. One I will review in the run up
to Christmas, because if the boys get a glimpse of “Your Letter to Santa” now,
it will be a constant barrage of “is it Christmas soon? Is it tomorrow? How
many sleeps now mummy?”. Frankly I am
so not ready for that just yet…

The ones my boys could enjoy straight away were “Are you
the Most Amazing Animal in the World?” and “(your child’s name) and the Magical

We were sent sample copies
to illustrate what they were like, so they were not personalised for my own
children. But the boys could still make
the most of the overall experience of the entertaining stories and I could comment
on what the personalisation would be like.

books are available to buy from Gone Digging for £9.99 and you can add any name
to the story. What I like in these
books is that the name also appears within the pictures, for example written in
the sky or as part of the peacock’s feathers, usually in personalised books the
names tend to stay in the text, so you feel your getting a little more with
these books.

can also add a message to the inside of the book, making it a lovely gift for
birthdays or Christmas (see I am letting my guard down with that word
again!). So I think for a good quality
and colourful book, custom-made to your child £9.99 seems a fair price.

will love seeing their names featuring so heavily in the books. But they have certainly not compromised on
story; eldest found them compelling, particularly learning more about wildlife
in that book. It is crammed with
informative facts about each of the featured animals. The end of the book even has a page for your child to draw the
animal they think is the most amazing.
It is good to get them actively involved after enjoying the story.

I thought the Magical Bookcase was very good though
because it brings across the message of the importance of books and how they
open up the world around you (with the help of your imagination).

Signature Gifts also have a ‘Colour Me In’ range complete with calendars, books and cards, which your child can colour in and then give to family as gifts, personalised with the name of the creator and the recipient. What a lovely way to treasure lovingly created artwork.

  1. These books do look fab and it was interesting that you said about the name also appearing within the pictures. We have bought several personalised books over the years for friends & family children and as you say virtually all do just print the names within the story. Lovely prizes, I am entering but will be taking a look at the website for future gifts.

  2. I like the sound of the Magical Bookcase. It's a great idea to get children to start reading or to help them to read as they'll love to recognize their name.
