I got your attention but sadly it was not the man himself (I would have got him
to work cooking if it had been!) but instead a selection of delicious Ainsley
Harriott cous cous featured! We were
sent a lovely wicker hamper filled to the brim with no less than eight
varieties and a selection of spices, oil, plastic plates and glasses and an
assortment of salad essentials.
we were all ready for the big BBQ but we had to wait for the sun to play ball,
luckily it did just before we went away on holiday so we could all savour the
appetising flavours of the cous cous!
It was hard work having such a lovely hamper tormenting us, waiting to
be used and having to endure lots of rainy Welsh weather and work on my
enjoyed some Asti out of the plastic glasses and needed a lie down
afterwards! I know my rock and roll
days are well and truly over. No more
wild nights out like my university days.
Good thing I had eaten plenty of cous cous to soak it up otherwise I
might have felt worse!
We were given some lovely recipes to try but we were happy
for a rustic BBQ with plain meat and the cous cous being the fancy part.
But if you are feeling more adventurous you
can make some Fragrant Beef Koftas with Raita or Beef and Red Pepper Skewers. Both sounded very promising,
but with cous cous ready in five short minutes, it seemed easier just to relax,
kick back and be lazy cooks!
So next time
also squeeze Ainsley Harriott in my hamper please, so he can pop out and make
me something fancy to accompany the cous cous!!!
