I love reading, but with two young
boys, a demanding husband and a busy blogging schedule I never quite commit
enough previous time to a much loved activity.
Nothing like lazing in bed, with an epic cup of tea to hand and possibly
far too much chocolate to munch on than any one should ever be allowed to
consume in one sitting.
This challenge was through Foodies 100 and I am feeling
slightly like I am cheating, as I did not even consider adding cooking books to
my list… I went mainly for soppy romance.
My list of recommendations for a
spot of Summer Reading:
Chocolate Shoes and
Wedding Blues (Just in case you need
a reminder of how much I love Chocolate, I had to pick a book with it in the
Daydreams (because that is what I am
having, hoping the weather picks up soon!)
Street Cat Named Bob: How One Man and His Cat Found Hope on the Streets (I am a sucker for a moving real life tale, when I
am not lost in some romantic romp of course, I expect to cry lots as I get very
emotional over the RSPCA adverts!)
Manic Mum-Day (as I so could
relate with the title, I had to add this!)
Fifty Shades of Grey (well I do need to see what all the fuss is about
surely, I have lost most of my friends to these books, so if you can’t beat
them its time to join them!)
I have picked
primarily funny, warm and relatively easy reading books, so I can drop in and
out of them alongside slotting in everything else!
But thank you idealo for making me
take time out and start reading again!
I was provided with a £25 Amazon
voucher for this purpose.
