Quest for the Great British Bean

It is quite exciting when you receive a lab coat through
the post, along with a Jelly Belly official certificate (my name spelt out in
Jelly Belly Beans no less!). So donning
hubbie’s glasses to appear more intellectual and thoughtful, I contemplated the
flavour that would best represent Britain, in-between munching on Jelly Belly beans
for extra inspiration!

Favouring
sweet things, I could not go down the Fish and Chips, Steak and Ale Pie,
Sausage and Mash route, no no no! It
had to be something for dessert, like a Cream Tea, with the freshly baked
buttery scones, undertones of homemade strawberry jam and the Cornish cream
highlights (okay I am making up foodie sounding words! But you get the gist of
what I am suggesting!). I should really
pay homage to Wales with the Bara Birth, but I am quite partial to scones.

Now get your creative hat on and have a good think about
what flavour you would like to enter.
Am sure you could unleash something truly spectacular on the British
public (or if you are feeling less generous something quite disgusting! Another of those beans you try desperately
to avoid in the packet, but is still vaguely entertaining when you end up
eating it by mistake!).

Not
only does the winner have the prestige and glory of introducing a new flavour
into Britain, they also get the opportunity to go to California with their
family and see the new bean being made, so lots of imperative reasons to get
your entry in before the competition closes on the 2nd of December.

Head over to the Jelly Belly-UK facebook page to submit your entry now!
