Shell and LEGO have teamed up again to offer a little extra when you top up with fuel. With my boys being big LEGO fans they were of course thrilled with this news and the exciting delivery of all the models. You can make your own racing event with four cars taking part, a finishing line and shell station. I divided out the packs and the boys rushed off to get building!
I was pleased that my youngest took such an active part this time and followed the build instructions. The end result is a lovely set of models with lots of playability. Children will enjoy seeing who can win the race and take top place on the podium. They can also stop off at the shell station on the way round for a quick top up of fuel, some minor repairs or pretend to add new tires!
Ideal for imaginary play and learning more about car racing generally, Fuel burns quickly when car races so having a Shell station at the ready is very sensible for refueling! The six individual packs that make up the complete set cost £1.99 each when you top up with £30 of Shell V-Power Nitro+. The Shell tanker is only available to Shell Drivers Club members so that is a reason to join up if ever I heard one!
They are also hosting an exclusive competition with a fantastic prize for the best video and photo entry; more details can be found on the Shell website. The competition closes on the 31st of December so you still have time to head to your closest Shell station and get your hands on these exhilarating models to take part.
The overall winner will be heading to LEGOland Billund in Denmark for a stay at the LEGOland hotel with their family. I cannot think of a more amazing prize, personally I would love to take my boys there, the Ghost attraction looks particularly spooky! So get your thinking hats on and drive your Shell models to the limit, perhaps heading out and about finding some interesting backdrops to film against! Good luck in the competition.
