was excited to be involved in the Syndol Headache Relief #BetterPlaces campaign, we all need
somewhere calm to retreat to when it all gets too much! My chosen location was Coed Y Brenin; it’s a
beautiful spot, very tranquil with lots of woodland. There are long walks to discover and it really relaxes me being
there. At the end of a hike I always
make a point of treating myself to tea and homemade cake from the café. All the fresh air really clears my head and
helps me forget my troubles. Tensions
slip away and I can just enjoy being surrounded by nature. Even with the boys there is just so much space their noise dilutes around me!
hard being a parent at times its all quite full on, you have squabbles to
referee, targets you like to meet (like fitting in crafts, fresh air and
learning books each day) and playdates to schedule. Then at the end of the day you have an insanely messy house to
attempt to tidy up, but usually by then I am just too exhausted to face
it! So that’s another headache waiting
for me the next morning so I love getting outdoors.
think this half term if I hear from the sidelines “I’m going to tell Mum”
one more time I might just crack! It’s
been tough, my two naturally wind each other up, they have the occasional kind
moment but as a rule it’s pretty chaotic.
My youngest also clashes with one of his closest friends; the pair of
them are (almost) amusing to watch, but it wears thin after while and myself
and his mum feel like pulling our own hair out! So I can mentally think of the waterfall, it can be my soundtrack to unwinding again!
On top of the day-to-day surviving life with children,
there seems so much pressure on us these days.
Everyone seems to have advice or suggestions we should follow. Some parents can be quite competitive too and
you really feel judged! My boys can be
a little unruly and you do feel you are getting the “look” when you are out and
about in public! So this half term I
have had more than my fair share of headaches, but it’s not always as easy as
escaping to my better place.
Fortunately Syndol Headache Relief can help you get on with your life if your head is
banging and you cannot run for the hills (literally!), plus you can always visualize it whilst the medication takes away the pain.
