To celebrate that Sonic The Hedgehog is available on download and keep from today, April 10th I have two plush Sonic toys to giveaway! I was a big fan of the Sonic The Hedgehog computer game when I was growing up, so I am thrilled you can now watch this action-adventure comedy film in the comfort of your own home.
You soon realize that Sonic The Hedgehog is quite lonely. He is desperate to make a friend. He has been sent to Earth for his own protection as echidnas want to get hold of his power. When he arrives here, he initially tries to keep a low profile. But during a game of baseball his incredible speed sees him trigger an electromagnetic pulse!
When you can run at supersonic speeds, you quickly draw the wrong kind of attention. He knocks out power for a large area and the United States Department of Defense send something to investigate.
Sonic soon has scientific genius (and all-round bad guy!) Dr Robotnik hot on his trail! Who is keen to unlock the power within his quills for his robots. Luckily, Sonic The Hedgehog manages to make a friend who tries to help him.
The film really does help show the true power of friendship. With someone looking out for you anything is possible even dealing with the likes of Dr Robotnik! I love that Jim Carrey has been chosen to play this character, with his animated facial gestures he is perfect for the role!
I really like how Sonic has been animated, he looks a lot like his video game counterpart.
This is a good choice of film to watch over the Easter holidays. A nice treat to look forward to when we are all getting a little fed up in lockdown! Enjoy a few giggles with your family instead! It will make you feel quite nostalgic too! Especially if you were like me and spent a big part of your childhood collecting golden rings.

Seen it – I thought it was excellent. Jim Carrey was great, although the original Robotnik was very large, so that was a little odd.
