Well from today you can get your hair cut in Wales again. However, my boys still can’t go back to school! This week we have mainly been eating. We really don’t seem to have done much else. I did have some much appreciated happy post arrive. My buddy from Sim’s Life sent me a delicious Chocolate and Raspberry Crumble Cake from Luckraft’s Cakes. It did cheer me up, especially with the lovely message too sending us big hugs.

Mother’s Day

We had a fabulous afternoon tea to celebrate Mother’s Day.

My mum made some amazing sausage rolls, and my brother made his famous lemon drizzle cake! I cheated and ordered the triple chocolate brownies from SPONGE which were very indulgent and chocolatey. It was so nice to eat all the tasty treats.

Waffles

We tried out my eldest son’s waffle maker this week! They turned out amazingly well. I can highly recommend the Lidl banoffee spread as a waffle topping. I think it might be my new favourite spread! The chocolate orange was good too but nowhere near as nice as the banoffee. We always used to buy waffles from a shop in town so the fact we can make them just as nice at home is a bit of a win for our bank account.

Blogging

This week I did get a lovely new competition live. I love the Artistry Studio perfume pencils I was sent to review and giveaway. I also managed to get the Dreamtex duvet cover review live. My boys were so pleased with their new bedding sets. It’s been a nice week for blogging. Although it is still quieter than usual, but I guess with me still being busy with the boys learning from home its probably for the best. This week my youngest had to bake a cake and decorate it like an animal cell! He had fun anyway.

I do have a campaign to work on next week for dog chews so I am sure my lovely dog will be pleased she gets her chance to be in the limelight.

Surprise Brownie

My husband came home from work and gave me a brownie from Costa which was a welcome bonus! This week he had his second covid-19 jab through work. He felt a little rough the next day, but generally okay. It’s nice to know he is fully vaccinated now or will be in a few weeks when it works its magic!

Our Budgie

This week the budgie has taken to riding on the back of one of the Game of Thrones dragons. He actually knocked off Daenerys so he could claim Drogon for himself. It is funny how it has become his favourite perching place. He sits there watching my husband gaming.

Treats

My husband fixed a friend’s laptop this week and was treated to a goody box of chocolates. He also fixed another friend’s phone and got a bottle of wine. So he is feeling rather pleased with himself this week. He had been quite happy to help them without anything in return but they both surprised him.

I think its best not to tot up the calories we ingested this week…
