Introducing Rattlesnaps Dental Chew Treats
My dog Summer was absolutely thrilled to be introduced to these new Rattlesnaps dental chew treats. Here she is having a good sniff of the packets.

The novel format made it feel more like a toy for her at first. She enjoyed hearing us rattle the treats inside, which made her even more enthusiastic to see what it was all about.

Then she happily got to work chewing the tasty treat. The sound and the challenge of getting to the tempting bit of chicken gives dogs extra mental stimulation. Dogs need to have their minds kept busy to lead contented lives. The treat seemed long lasting, not like some treats that get wolfed up by Summer in a few seconds flat.

We already regularly use dental chews. However, this design was so much more innovative and fun for our dog. Elkwood Rattlesnaps dental chew treats definitely make our usual go to brand seem a bit bland and dull now. It can be boring for a dog to be given the same treat again and again. Whereas these Rattlesnaps dental chew treats keep things more exciting. The combination of treat and toy works incredibly well.
Summer Seal Of Approval

Literally as soon as Summer had eaten her allocation, she was back to eyeing up the box. So, from my dog’s point of view these treats were very appealing. Summer would definitely recommend them. She is looking quite proud to give her endorsement here! As a caring dog owner I was glad they were also a good source of vitamins, antioxidants and fibre. So Rattlesnaps dental chew treats certainly tick a lot of boxes for making sure your dog leads a healthy life. It is so important to take dog ownership and all it entails seriously.
These dental chew treats have been cleverly designed to reduce plaque. Also, they are jam packed with natural ingredients so are very nutritious. They use ingredients such as sweet potato flour, broccoli and apple. Not forgetting that tasty bit of dried chicken hidden in each segment. They also have a fresh peanut butter and dried pumpkin variety we haven’t tried out yet. But I will have to pick up a packet as I am sure Summer will be a fan based on how receptive she was to the broccoli and apple chews.
Elkwood wanted to make treats that were low fat and easy to digest and they certainly delivered that with this inventive design. Broccoli is high in fibre and has plenty of vitamin C and potassium. It also has vitamin K for strong bones. Although never feed your dogs too much broccoli as it can give them an upset stomach. Fortunately these treats have a safe quantity of the vegetable, so all the goodness with none of the worry! Apples are a source of vitamin A and C, so an excellent boost for their immune system.
Versatile Format

The treat can be broken up into individual segments for smaller breeds or for training sessions. I think that it is quite clever and makes these treats even more versatile. I think they would be especially effective for training as the rattle gets your dog’s attention. A bit like clicker training, but with a rattle instead then the treat can be presented. The ideal way to teach your dog new actions and positive behaviours whilst also taking good care of their teeth. Dental treatment for your dog can be very expensive so it’s worthwhile finding a decent dental chew like Rattlesnaps.
Rattlesnaps are available to buy from online retailers such as VioVet. I am sure Summer will be encouraging me to stock up!
