Only a week until Easter. I am looking forward to the break from schoolwork for the boys who still haven’t gone back to school. Not that we can get up too much over Easter as attractions are still not open. But the warmer weather is definitely making us all feel better. It will be nice to spend more time getting outside in the garden, soaking up the sun instead of coaxing the boys to stay at the computer completing tasks. I might even try my hand at some gardening again. The borders have grown wild!

More Tasty Treats

It’s been another foodie week really. Although next week I must try harder to wean myself off all the goodies. We had a nice takeout meal. I did want to watch the pennies, but my husband works so hard he deserves a treat. Plus, we really needed cheering up. With one thing and another its not been the best of weeks.

Luckily, afternoon tea was a lovely boost for us at the end of the week. This particular company always do such a fabulous job. The Malteser cheesecake was a real highlight. I definitely need to work on getting outside more to offset all these calories!

Blogging

Summer really enjoyed reviewing the Rattlesnaps dental chew treats. I know today she will be pleased she can have another one. My post about making money from home went live. Starting my blog over seven years ago really was the best decision I made. It’s given me the flexibility to earn money whilst still juggling childcare. It has definitely helped with the boys off for so long home-schooling, I can work to my own schedule and not be tied to set hours.

GCSE’s

This week my eldest was picking out his GCSE choices, it seems so grown up to have to do that already! But then again, he will be starting year 10 in September. He has completed more of his secondary school education than he has left to go. Where has the time gone? although I guess pretty much a year of it has been in and out of lockdown.

He has gone down the science route so my blog post about STEM subjects is probably quite apt for us this week. He also had his parents evening and is doing well, we celebrated with a Chinese takeaway as that was what he wanted as his reward!

Painted Rocks

We found some exciting new painted rocks on our walks. I really liked the Little Red Riding Hood scene, the hungry caterpillar and the three rock chicks.

So that’s it really. I have more plans for getting outside on walks this week. Although it all depends on how many school tasks the boys can whizz through!
