TOMY Games Review & Giveaway

Every day after school I am encouraging the boys to have a family board game before heading to their console. The weather has been miserable, and they are not spending enough time outdoors, but I am determined that they won’t spend longer than usual playing Minecraft and Fortnite. Board games are a lovely way to spend quality time together even though we do have our moments when they squabble over the choice of game. Fortunately, we had a delivery of TOMY games that kept the pair of them happy for a while, the games are fun and very entertaining!

Fizzy Dizzy Hippo (RRP £21.99)

This game is hilarious watching the relaxing hippo’s tummy grow as he has drinks up his fizzy pop! The umbrella tells you how many times you need to press the drink. For younger children it can really help with their numbers. It’s quite simple to play so children don’t feel frustrated about the game concept. We have children of all ages and abilities over so its nice to have a game that will appeal to everyone and that anyone can manage. The winner is the one that makes the hippos belly pop! Children will be amused by the sounds of seagulls and the hippo slurping his drink.

Greedy Granny (RRP £19.99)

This hysterical game involves a biscuit loving granny (a woman after my own heart) but she has fallen asleep and left her biscuits unguarded on the tray! Can you steal the biscuits without waking her? It is so comical if you do wake her though the highlight being her teeth flying out! That ticked the boys no end. It does keep you on the edge of your seat too as you never know when she might wake up, the heightened suspense makes the game very thrilling. It looks like it would suit younger children but my two surprised themselves and liked this one a lot, granny is so much of a character its hard not to fall in love with the game.

Screwball Scramble (RRP £19.99)

This is a firm favourite.  It’s such a challenge trying to navigate through the course successfully against the clock. We all love taking turns, although the boys are much better at it than me. I don’t think I will ever be a screwball scramble champion.  But its enjoyable to keep on trying anyway! The boys have the right level of skill and agility to make it to the end, crossing the tilting walkway, swinging on the crane and directing the ball over the parallel bars (here I ALWAYS come unstuck!). Maybe I should secretly practice whilst they are at school, so I can impress them by getting to the end in record time. Don’t be fooled by the kids that make it look so easy on the TOMY video haha.
