I was excited to be sent a review disc for How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.  My boys really enjoyed the previous two films so I had a feeling they would love the latest installment.

In this film Hiccup has made his home a haven for dragons.  Berk being a dragon sanctuary means things don’t always run smoothly.  The place is quite crowded and a little bit crazy at times!  Expect to see dragons swimming around in the Vikings dinner or buildings getting accidently knocked down.

Hiccup has a big heart and wants to make sure all dragons have somewhere safe to live.  Danger is coming to Berk so they decide to hide the dragons where they will be safe from dragon hunter Grimmel the Grisly.  We follow them on an adventure as they make their way to the Hidden World.  The ending is quite bittersweet, but I won’t give away any spoilers.

You feel a bit emotional seeing the characters grow up and start to make their own paths in life.  This film see’s Toothless fall in love.  Will he win her heart? well you will have to watch the film to find out!!!  It’s hilarious watching him try and impress the Light Fury.  His courtship attempts are comical as he really is quite clueless at first, doing a chicken walk and generally being a bit clumsy and silly!

This film is a wonderful conclusion to the trilogy.  Also the animation is beautifully done.  Therefore I would recommend you pick up a copy especially if you haven’t already seen the film in the cinema.  How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is available now on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
