(Gifted Tickets) We spent an enjoyable day at Gulliver’s World on Friday.  The boys had both finished school and the park wasn’t too busy.  Although it was very wet!  We got absolutely soaked during the first couple of hours at the park.

But most of the rides were still open, and the staff were surprisingly friendly and upbeat given the weather.  I think because of that we still had a wonderful day!  As a family we don’t tend to let the weather get in the way of our fun anyway.  But I do think the Gulliver’s staff went the extra mile to put a smile on everyone’s faces.

Apache Falls

Last time we visited Gulliver’s World was just before Apache Falls opened in 2016.  So, we made a beeline for that first.  We went on three times in a row.  We were already drenched so it didn’t matter that we just got wetter and wetter!  The boys really liked it and would have happily continued to ride but I said we should explore the rest of the park and see what else it had to offer.

Desperado Drop

We moved onto the latest ride which opened in April.  Desperado Drop is a fantastic addition to Gulliver’s World.  Even my husband who usually just wants to hold the bags had a go!  I much prefer when he joins us on the rides as it makes it a lovely family experience then and more memorable.  It’s a drop tower ride but with the right amount of thrill!

The Antelope

Last time we skipped The Antelope, a fast wooden coaster.  But this time both the boys were keen to try it.  It’s quite a rough ride but worth a go if you like rollercoasters.  I would prefer a cushioned back on my seat though to make it more comfortable.  But the kids didn’t seem to have any issues.

The boys skipped a few of the younger rides but there was still plenty for them to enjoy.  They are 12 and 10 now and Gulliver’s World managed to keep them happily entertained for the whole day.

We rode lots of the ride’s multiple times, when there wasn’t a queue the ride operators were more than happy for them to stay on.

It would be good if temple raider could have operating guns as the ride is a bit confusing otherwise.  However, we made the best of it and went around pretending to fire the targets with imaginary handguns!

My youngest really liked the Togo Tower.  It’s good that up to three can ride, so the raft could accommodate myself and my boys.  Tree Top Swings and Flight of the Pteranodon were also very popular with my two.  I think they rode Flight of the Pteranodon five times in a row!

A couple of rides closed temporarily because of the weather.  However the maintenance team seemed quick to reopen them so everyone could get the most out of their day at Gulliver’s World.
