How To Unleash Your Potential?

It’s a question many of us might well have asked ourselves at some point, how to unleash your potential?  Let’s be honest why wouldn’t we want to be the best we possibly could!  But how do you go about achieving that.  I have included some tips below to hopefully help you with this.

Put yourself forward

If you are unsure about something give it a try!  It’s easy to let things hold you back, listening to negative voices in your head stopping you getting out there and accomplishing something.  You might find your worries get the better of you.  In the past I have turned down opportunities because I was apprehensive I wasn’t confident or dynamic enough.  I would look for excuses to get out of doing things.  Now I feel a bit sad I let those chances slip through my fingers.

If you learn to thrive in a difficult situation you really can do anything!  I was a bit anxious about Ihu’s Breakaway Falls in Aquatica but I decided I wouldn’t let those fears get the better of me and I did it!  Afterwards I felt a huge sense of achievement.  So, try and do the things that challenge you as they will give you the most confidence going forward!

Try NLP

NLP (or Neuro-Linguistic Programming if you want to use its full name!) is all about learning techniques to get what you want out of life.  You get shown how best to adapt your behaviour and language to different situations, so you cope better.  So, you could try and Unleash Your Potential with NLP to see if that helps.

Start Small

To give your confidence a bit of a boost start small!  Give yourself some easily achievable goals whilst you start your journey to reaching your potential.  These can be quickly ticked off and then you can raise the stakes and try more challenging things feeling a bit more bolstered with what you have done so far!

List Your Strengths and Weaknesses

Having these as a starting point will help you focus your attention on where needs the most development!  For me I really do keep making excuses about driving and I do think it holds me back!  I passed my driving test but didn’t feel like I had enough courage to go out there on my own.  I should have started small with little trips and built up my confidence.  Instead I just ignore it, but its time it made it on the list and was tackled!

Live Life Without Regrets

Unleash your potential

Use this as your driving force.  If you have any “I wish I had done that” moments, capitalise on that feeling and use it to propel you into new experiences.  Don’t let anything hold you back, follow your dreams!  I don’t have many regrets, not getting the hang of driving might be the biggest one as I know life would be easier if I didn’t have to walk everywhere.  But on the whole I do think I tend to put myself out there and give things a try, whether its indoor skydiving or riding a rollercoaster that takes my breath away!
