Gifted.  Here are a few ideas if your looking for some last-minute inspiration for the kids.  This Christmas gift guide also has some suggestions for stockings, which I find hard to fill usually!

2K Console Games

Top of my children’s Christmas list is always console games!  2K have some exciting titles to pick from.

NBA2K20 (3+) is perfect for kids who love basketball, they get to immerse themselves in that world!  Visually it looks fantastic, it has a strong engaging career story and best of all kids can become a player in the game by uploading a scan of their face!  Hopefully all this sport gaming might encourage them to be more active in real life.

Carnival Games (3+) is already a firm favourite of ours.  It’s ideal to bring the family together playing fun mini games that you can just dive straight into!  The more you play the more gaming tickets you are awarded to unlock the rest of the included games.  There are 20 mini games in total so plenty to keep the kids happily occupied over Christmas.  It’s such a feel good game that would make a lovely stocking filler or main present.

Civilization VI (12+) gives children the chance to expand their empire.  I love games like this that encourage our children to think strategically!  It’s very educational as they get to make lots of important decisions that impact the culture and future of their empire.  What child doesn’t want a chance to rule their own world!

Frozen II

If your children are big fans of Disney Frozen Happy Beds have a lovely range of products ideal as Christmas gifts.  Lots of items have caught my eye.  You can have their whole bedroom kitted out for a Christmas surprise.  They have so much variety, storage cubes, a bookcase, night lights, ready bed and even a fancy sleigh bed!  So if your child is ALL about Frozen II now they have seen the latest film, you know where to shop.  I really like the flip out mini sofa just so kids have somewhere comfortable to relax and read.

It even folds out so they can really chill out on there!

Take N Play Anywhere

These magnetic travel games (£7.99 each) from Interplay are perfect for stockings or gifts.  They have a good selection of popular games to pick from and add a bit of fun to Christmas morning.  After the festivities they are ideal for packing for holidays.  They don’t take up much space so just the thing for entertainment on the go!

The awarding winner audio system the Toniebox makes a gorgeous gift for the little ones.  It plays stories and encourages children to be creative.  It is such a magical gift that will transport your child on many wonderful adventures.  Plus, it’s a big help for parents at bedtime.  After the Toniebox has finished the story it turns itself off.  So, you can relax and let your Toniebox take care of the bedtime battle!

The system itself has been cleverly designed so young children can operate it independently.  You place one of the characters (tonies) on top and the Toniebox recognises the stories that are associated with it.  I like how they have added some figures for older children too now so the appeal will last even longer!  These are very educational you have dinosaurs, space travel and the secrets of the sea.

Falcon De Luxe

Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a jigsaw for everyone to enjoy together!  I really like the winter themed ones available from Falcon De Luxe, you can pick these up from Amazon.  Prices vary but you can look at spending about £11.99, which is very fair given how much entertainment a jigsaw can provide!  They have such lovely Christmassy scenes that really make you feel festive.  You can’t beat a 1,000 puzzle if you want a bit of a challenge!  It’s always a real family affair everyone gets stuck in finishing them!  We always feel so proud when we see the end result and I always take a picture of my kids with their completed puzzle.

Danny’s Chocolate

For the kids Danny’s Chocolate have some cute Christmas themed chocolate bars!  These look great and taste amazing.

I was impressed with the quality of the chocolate and the brand as a whole.  It’s a family run business that are passionate about making chocolate that really satisfies your sweet tooth.  Made with Colombian cacao it’s a quality bit of chocolate too!  Don’t worry the adults can enjoy it too!  They have some amazing flavour combinations.  Feast your eyes on them all!

We were sent Spyro The Dragon Ice Cable Guys controller stand (currently £17.98 on Amazon).  These are great for gamers!  Tech accessories are always going to go down well.

If Spyro isn’t your thing they have many more designs, like Deadpool, Sonic the Hedgehog, Crash Bandicoot and Mickey Mouse.  Just have a browse on Amazon and see what takes your fancy!

Lonely Planet

I love to encourage my children to read, Lonely Planet have so many wonderful titles to encourage inquisitive minds with a real thirst for knowledge!  We particularly liked The Flag Book (currently £8.99), Hidden Wonders (currently £8.99) and Wild in the City (currently £7.79).  But you really can’t go wrong with any of the titles on the Lonely Planet kids’ site.  Let your child go on an adventure as they turn the pages of each of their beautifully illustrated books.

Asmodee

Any regular follower of my blog will know board game playing is a popular pastime for our family.  So, I am always keen to show you the games that Asmodee have available.  We were sent a few to feature here.

Time’s Up! Party is a fun party game (RRP £17.74) which is quite challenging and fast paced!  You get your team members to guess the name on the card, there are three rounds.  Each trickier that the last!  In the first one you can speak freely, in the second you can only use one word to describe what is on the card and in the final round you must mime (no speaking at all!).  It helps if you have a good memory as you are using the same shuffled deck each round so hopefully that will give you a helping hand.

Telestrations (RRP £24.99) is such a hilarious game especially if you play with someone who draws like my dad!  It’s like Chinese whispers with drawing!  By the time the book has come around the table we are all drawing something completely different from the initial word.  We never laugh so much as when we play this game.

Crazy Eggz (RRP £17.99) is a game where you do just that, crazy things with eggs!  It gets harder as you win more eggs!  You can end up losing eggs trying to get the next egg in the right position the quickest.  First to five eggs wins, but it’s much harder than it looks!  If it comes down to a tie, then the blue egg makes you the winner.  Such an entertaining game!
