Tonight we enjoyed tasty fajitas for tea thanks to Schwartz Fajita Seasoning.  It was a simple meal to make and was the perfect way to end a rather long and stressful week.

We just cooked the onion, added the chicken and peppers, then cooked them through before sprinkling with the seasoning.  It was ready to be served in about ten minutes.  Handy if you want to rustle up a delicious meal without too much fuss.

We regularly eat fajitas, but this was my mum and dad’s first introduction to the meal.  They don’t tend to experiment with world flavours, so it was lovely seeing how much they enjoyed their fajitas.  Perhaps this will encourage them to try more Schwartz Seasonings.  I am eager to see how we get on with some of the other jars.  The world flavours range is all about letting your taste buds be transported around the globe.  They are an easy way to make mealtimes more exciting.  With such a vast range the hardest part is settling on which of the Schwartz Seasonings to try next.  I think it’s a tossup between BBQ, Garlic Italian and Jerk Seasoning for me.

Amazing Value

I was impressed with what good value the Schwartz Seasonings range works out at.  For £1.60 there is plenty in the jar for lots of family meals.  A little bit goes a long way.  Currently Tesco have a special offer, you can pick up two jars for £2.50, so £1.25 for a jar is a decent saving.  I would recommend stocking up before the offer ends on the 11^th of February.  It’s important to keep the family food shop on budget and this is one way to achieve that.

We usually buy the packs that include the wraps, but it works out cheaper doing it this way.  My husband used one and a half table spoons of Schwartz Seasoning with the five of us eating fajitas.  I guess you could add a little more if you wanted a strengthen the flavour.  Although we enjoyed it just fine like that.

The subtle flavour is very appetizing.  It’s rated medium spiciness.  However, I found it pleasant and quite mild.  Schwartz really have captured the taste of Mexico with this blend of ground coriander seeds, lemon and chilli.  We had our fajitas with salad and grated cheese.
