Great birthday ideas for her in 2020

Is it coming up to your mother’s 50th birthday? Or maybe your sister has just turned 21. No matter which birthday it is, it can cause a lot of panic and anxiety trying to find the perfect gift for her.  Especially if you want to make it count!  Often, you’ll find people breaking the bank to buy that expensive bracelet, or booking a random weekend away.  But it doesn’t have to be that way. Coming up with good birthday ideas can be inexpensive, as long as it comes from the heart. No matter what your budget, we’ve got some great ideas of what to buy her for her birthday in 2020. So, sit back, relax, and let us do the hard work.

Buy a plant-based cook book

The push to move to a more plant-based diet has been immense in 2019/2020, with more people opting to eat less meat for a variety of different reasons. Whether you’ve chosen to incorporate more vegetables into your diet for environmental or health reasons, a plant-based cook book is a fantastic gift idea.

Often it can be difficult to be creative when it comes reducing or eliminating meat from your diet, with many cookbooks and chefs providing meat and fish based recipes. Well not this year, there has been an influx of vegetarian, vegan and plant-based recipe books landing on the scene, so what better gift for a budding cook?

Personalised number plate

May the woman you’re buying a birthday present for has just passed her test, or recently bought a new car. Add a unique touch to the vehicle with a private number plate that makes the car stand out from the crowd.

Private number plates can be purchased via private sellers, on number plate buy and sell websites and also on the DVLA’s official page. The price of the number plate depends on the type of number plate you choose. Plates with fewer characters are known as ‘cherished’ plates and can fetch a lot of money as they are extremely sought after. On the other hand, plates with less popular words/connotations and that are newer are generally not as expensive and can go minimum £250. Although a more expensive present, it can last a lifetime.

Magazine subscription

Do you often catch her reading a magazine in the bath? Or scanning the magazine isles in the supermarket? Have you ever considered a magazine subscription as the perfect birthday gift?

Whether she enjoys recipes, fashion or lifestyle and wellbeing, there will be a magazine for that. Magazine subscriptions often last 12 months and offer an ongoing gift for the person

that you’re buying it for. As well as this there are often discounts with subscriptions and a one-off gift with the purchase which can be an added extra with the present.

Pamper gift set

Who doesn’t love a little indulgence every once in a while? Pamper gift sets are a great present that can be tailored to suit the person’s specific taste. If you know that she enjoys baths, create a pamper set that involves bath salts, face masks and bubble bath. Or if you know that in-order to pamper herself, she enjoys reading, why not create a kit with a few books, her favourite wine and chocolates? The possibilities are endless and the personal touch makes the present extra special. Not entirely sure what to create? Have a look at my latest Baylis & Harding post.
