Haribo Easter Cheer in Lockdown
AD The boys were over the moon when they saw the delivery from Haribo. They had been hoping they would get to do an Easter egg hunt around the garden! So, I sent them inside with strict instructions not to peer from the windows and quickly hid the Haribo Eggs Galore mini bags around the garden. If you do not have a garden, it is a fun activity you can also do around the house.
It was amazing how finding mini bags of Haribo really lifted the children’s spirits. After all, life is a bit tricky right now, so immersing ourselves in the happy world of Haribo was one way to help us all feel a little more cheerful in a difficult time. My boys do have their ups and downs right now. They are missing their friends and holidays have been cancelled. But the look of pure happiness on their faces when they have treats like this is priceless.
Our #HARIBOEaster delivery also included sharing size bags of Haribo Spring Time Friends and Jelly Bunnies. Plus a delightful bunny shaped box full of Bunny ‘n’ friends shapes! I gave the boys a set number of mini bags to find each to make it as fair as possible. Otherwise I would not have heard the last of the grumbling! It is a good idea to count out the mini bags anyway. Then you know how many are left to look out for and you still find them long after the hunt! You can still make things a little competitive by hiding one special prize like a Haribo sharing bag if you want!
Confession time I might not have hid ALL the sweets! Naturally, I needed to taste test some for the authenticity of my blog post! Grown ups need treats right now too after all.
Mini Bags are ideal for hiding as you can squash them into cracks in the wall, hide them behind plants or even peg them to the washing line, knowing that the contents are okay to eat safely packaged!
We did not have any little plastic eggs to put them inside. But the Easter themed packets look fab as they are anyway!
There are so many ways to keep the excitement going that I think we will make a Haribo hunt a regular thing. For example, you can add clues if you want to make it more challenging and guide them to different parts of the garden/house. Although we quite fancy trying a night-time hunt. We will use glow in the dark paint on the packets and then hide them.
Haribo packets work out much more affordable than hiding full sized eggs. So you can give children all the fun and excitement of the Easter hunt without breaking the bank in the process! With so many sweets in the house we can plan some baking and adding them as tasty toppings! I also watched a youtube video to make your own jelly! You add 100g of cut up Haribo gummies sweets to a pan filled with a cupful of water until they dissolve. Then you decant the solution into containers and refrigerate for two hours. So, you see you can have lots of entertainment with Haribo!

What fun! I’m glad you still managed an ‘egg’ hunt despite all of this. We don’t have kids, but I am enjoying a jigsaw 🙂
I used to love doing egg hunts with mine when they were younger, I even suggested doing one with my daughter on Sunday and she looked like I had gone mad. This looks like a great Easter egg hunt kit
We are huge Haribo fans here, so this would have been a real hit! I am going to have to keep in mind a Haribo Hunt for next Easter.
It looks like you guys had lots of fun! We used some of the Haribo Easter mini bags and the kids loved them. I think they are a great alternative to chocolate eggs too as they don’t melt or get crushed, especially if you are doing the hunt outdoors!
I used to love having an Easter egg hunt when I was a kid, I was so sad when my parents said I was too old to have one. My brother would have loved this haribo themed one x

I havent seen these before, im not a huge chocolate fan and prefer the sweets over them, so these are great alternative, nice to have a bit of fun at easter.
I prefer sweets to chocolate and i mixed up the egg hunt this year by adding sweets too

I bet I’d enjoy those jelly eggs LOL. Growing up my parents always got plastic eggs and filled them with treats, plus we had a big chocolate bunny.
I hid these mini bags inside plastic eggs for the kids to find, they had so much fun!
I literally would have stuffed my face with allll the Haribo, I can’t resist them when I know where they are. Kids often find me snacking on theres.
