So Sand DIY Ball Kit Review & Giveaway
I was delighted to be sent the So Sand DIY Ball Kit from Canal Toys to try out. This product is all about helping encourage feelings of calm. Let’s be honest after a tense few months in lockdown I think we have a lot of built up tension that needs releasing!
I always find the texture of magic sand particularly soothing. But with this kit children can actually make their own magic sand combinations, so its that bit more special. I love the vibrant colours of the colouring powders.
So Sand DIY want to help relax our children. They have seen the benefits of ASMR, that feeling of wellbeing you can get from hearing repeated soothing sounds. Like those made from gently cutting your magic sand or molding it! For £13 this is an affordable product. But with the added health benefits it makes it even more attractive.
Sensory experiences are important for child development. Playing with magic sand can help with fine motor skills and creativity. Plus, not everyone has a beach close by so So Sand DIY Ball Kit can bring some of the fun of the beach to every home! I also love that it’s not quite as messy as a trip to the beach! Whenever we go to the beach my boys seem to leave with sand in their trainers and pockets, which we find in the house for ages afterwards.

I think its fantastic that So Sand DIY products always seem to include the decoration pouches because who doesn’t love adding some sparkle to their creations! Everything can be stored away in the base of the ball, so it is a craft activity that does not take up much space.
The So Sand DIY Ball Kit is quite an innovative product that will keep children entertained for ages. It is pitched for children aged 6+ and would be a lovely activity for the summer holidays. The sand does not dry out so you can keep using it for ages.

We are indeed! We have been lucky enough to try a few over the years and they are certainly very engaging for kids… and adults too! There is something about playing with sand that is so relaxing! Sim x

This is looks great. Our children have both got special needs with sensory issues and anxiety so this would be good for them and such vibrant colours.
