Stamping Out Stress When You’ve Got A Big Day Ahead

Stress is something we don’t want to deal with on a regular basis and we all have our own ways to deal with that heavy feeling on our shoulders, or how panicked and fluttery it gets in our chests. However, when you’ve got a big or important day ahead, your stress levels can be out of control. Therefore it’s key to tamp them down before you get into any of the day’s activities.

In the same way we all need to drink water, we all need to know our stress responses, and how to deal with them. But often enough, this is hard to do on your own. So, to help you feel more prepared for the big, rushing day ahead, here are some ways you can take yourself out of the situation, whilst you make sure your stress levels are never off the charts.

Talk to Yourself

Talking to yourself might seem a little crazy. But it’s not something you have to do out loud! Talk to yourself in your head, tell yourself everything is going well. Even mentally vocalise what you’ve done, what you’d like to do, and how any mistakes you’ve made don’t matter in the long run.

It’s a good way to prep and pump yourself up, without needing to rely on anyone else. So, talk to yourself how a loved one would talk to you. Mainly to comfort yourself and keep you on track, and you might just feel a lot more confident to get back in there!

Clear Your Mind

Clearing your mind is easier said than done. However it’s not impossible. It’s all about being able to get inside yourself, feel the moment you’re in, and push out the stress, if even just for a few minutes. Meditation is always a good shot here, and it’s easy for everyone to do! All you need is a bit of quiet space, and a technique you know engages you.

And if you’re not one for meditating, or you don’t have time for a bit of mindfulness, you could always depend on that SMOK UK kit in your pocket. All in all, just take yourself away from the cause of stress, close your eyes, breathe, and commit to a method of relaxation that helps you on a regular basis.

Bust Some of that Energy!

Is there any green space nearby? Can you go for a quick walk? Because if so, it’s time to bust some of that nervous energy you’re holding. Just let your brain and body calm down by ensuring they can’t get hot and bothered over the running of the day.

If you don’t have the energy to panic, you simply won’t, and you’ll be able to focus much better, and redirect your thoughts. So get out there and move!

Stress can really get you down, and you don’t need that right now! Do your mind and body a favor, and learn how to shake off stress on those big days.
