As a family we absolutely loved this game! Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza certainly tested our reflexes to the limit. The first player says Taco, then the next Cat and so on until a card matches what you are saying. Then you all have to slap your hand on the cards! Last to do so adds more cards to their hand.

With the aim of the game to get rid of all your cards you really do not want to be last. It’s so much trickier than it sounds. If you get the order wrong or put your hand out incorrectly then the central cards are yours to pick up! You find yourself keep running through the mantra to try and remember the order “Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza”. It tricks your mind a bit as you sometimes try to match the card but you need to remember to match the word!

My youngest managed to win three games in a row. When you finally get rid of your cards you still have to be 1^st to slap your hands down when there is a match! So, the game can go on for a little while longer. Not that I managed to do anything exciting with my remaining time. My eldest was just too fast for me.

There are also some special cards which make gameplay even more challenging! Those cards require a special move before slapping the card pile. If you are last or make the wrong special move, you pick up the cards. Believe it or not as slow as I was at chanting the word and slapping cards, I was a really fast Gorilla!

Gorilla

You have to beat on your chest with both fists before slapping the card pile.

Groundhog

With this card you knock on the table with both hands.

Narwhal

If you see this card slap your hands above your head, so you have a Narwal horn!

Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza card game would make a lovely Christmas stocking filler. All the hand slapping can get a bit crazy, but we were all still in good spirits playing the game. I love how portable it is, the little game box doesn’t take up much space.

The playing cards are beautifully illustrated and very cute. The game is so much more fun and challenging than a regular game of snap! The fast pace and simple rules mean it’s a great party game for up to eight players.
