Week 49 of 2020: Christmas Rocks And Nordic Gnomes
I was worried I wouldn’t have much to say as I have mainly at home whilst the renovation work is carrying on. My main duty being official coffee maker for the workmen. Not that I mind in the slightest I like to keep them happy. Luckily, we managed to fit quite a bit into the weekend. Fortunately, I managed to get enough pictures to do the weekly update after all. A highlight for the boys was a Christmas crafting session with my mum decorating Nordic Gnomes.
Decorating Nordic Gnomes
My mum kindly bought the boys and myself a Nordic Gnome Layering Artboard Kit from Dreamees. They are such good value sets. Luckily, she already had all the supplies for us to decorate our Nordic Gnomes. So, we spent such a pleasant afternoon doing a bit of Christmas crafting. You can see some photos of how we got on below.

We were all big fans of the Cosmic Shimmer Fluffy Stuff, a bottle of that costs about £2.99. But it looks great for adding texture to the beard. Once you have applied it you can use a heat gun on a gentle heat to make it bubble up.

We still have our mounts to finish, so we will do that next time. My mum’s is below, I love how she added the moss effect and the green cardboard trees. So, I am sure we will aim for something similar.

Christmas Rocks
I have mentioned in my other weekly updates about the kind people who decorate our green spaces with painted rocks. The Christmas rocks have started appearing and we went for a walk just to see them. One of them is in my feature picture but I also liked the ones below too. As we get closer to Christmas they have promised to make many more.

Blog Work
This week I have two competitions go live. One was to win STIRRD letterbox hand-crafted fudge and another to win Planet Coaster Console Edition. I love the look of that game, so if you are feeling lucky do check out my latest giveaways. I also managed to publish my review of Shinesty matching Christmas pyjamas. These really are the most comfortable pyjamas I have ever worn, and this is coming from someone who has bought a lot of pyjamas in her time!
I also have a few informative posts go live. For example Is Your Boiler Winter Ready? and How To Add Value To Your Home. So if you see something that captures your attention please do have a little read.
Renovation Work
There isn’t much to see at the moment, but I am sure as the week unfolds I will more to show you. But I can’t wait to show you the finished room. It just seems to be taking a little longer than I hoped!
Milkshake
Today I took my youngest out for a milkshake as my eldest had a cake to bake for a school project and needed time to concentrate. His cake was so good, I sent a picture to Sim and she said she fancied trying it.

As for the milkshake I love how it is served with a dinky donut on the side! So cute.
New Decorations
The boys nanny sent them two new Christmas decorations she had made, they now have pride of place on our Christmas tree.

Those gnomes are just adorable. Great work and the rocks are brilliant!
I love the look of that milkshake. Yum! Yum! x
Those gnomes do look good as do the Christmas rocks – I’m no good with arty stuff like that. Hope the bathroom is coming together.
Nordic gnomes look great. It’s great that they’ve painted rocks specifically for Christmas. I hope the renovation work goes well. Tasty looking milkshake. Cool Santa
Loving the gnomes…they look so cool! Great artwork.
I would love a doughnut with my milkshake! Never seen that with milkshakes around here.
The santa decoration is cute.
I finish work in two days time and can not wait to get on with some crafting! Love the look of what you have created so far. That milkshake looks epic and you have just reminded me I need to book ours for an after haircut treat! I wish I was that creative with rock painting.
Love the different Christmas rocks and those Nordic gnomes look good. Love the look of the milkshake with the dinky donut on the side. #project366
Love the nordic gnomes they looks so great when assembled. The painted rocks are also a lot of fun, I get quite a few ideas from seeing the pictures you post
Lovely decorations and adorable gnomes! #project366
Yessss… you’ve just reminded me… I am still waiting for a slice of tha delicious cake! 😉
Those Nordic gnome kits are such a wonderful idea, your mum is so lovely! Doing Christmas crafts certainly gets you in the Christmas spirit and those Nordic gnomes are all the rage at the moment!
I want one of those milkshakes now, how awesome with the mini donut! It’s lovely to see your renovation coming along, not much longer now and then no more coffee making duty! 😉 Sim x
Oh wow, the gnomes look amazing. The fluffy paint stuff is amazing – it reminds me of something I used to have as a kid, can’t remember the name, but it was the same – you painted it on T-shirts or whatever and then puffed it up with the hairdryer. That is a very tasty looking milkshake too 🙂
