My eldest really enjoyed this interesting fact filled book we were sent to review by Pen And Sword. He literally got through it in one sitting, reading late into the night completely absorbed in the facts. If you feel like your home-schooling efforts are a bit hit and miss books like this can help you deepen your child’s knowledge about a subject. 101 Facts You Didn’t Know About Space will keep your space enthusiasts thoroughly entertained whether they are new to the subject or already know a lot. It’s lovely when your children find a book, they are so enthusiastic to learn from.

Children will certainly know so much more when they finish reading all these incredible facts. For example, did you know that astronauts cannot burp in space or that Venus smells like rotten eggs. This book gives you a greater idea of all the strange things that go in in the universe. Plus it looks fabulous on your coffee table too.

It is a book older children and adults would both benefit from. There is plenty of depth to each of the facts, such an enlightening read that has a bit of humour too with facts children will find appealing.

The book was written by Mark Thompson an astronomer and science fan. It has lots of images to bring the facts to life. You might think a book about space could be quite a dry subject. However, the author manages to deliver a thoroughly entertaining reading experience from start to finish.

We were intrigued that dung beetles use the milky way to navigate. So, if you were baffled how they always managed to keep a straight line when they roll their giant ball of poo now you know.
