The only downside of field trips is that they cost money for the school to arrange. As a result, your children are lucky to go on one a year – at most. Is there anything you can do to encourage schools to organize more trips for the kids?

One idea is to offer to arrange everything yourself. This means you select where they go, and you deal with all the logistics of getting the kids to and from that place. You’d have to rent some form of transport, and the mini bus is a popular option in most cases. Of course, you also have to try and find the money to pay for everything. If the organization side of things is what bothers the school, they may be fine paying for it as long as you handle everything else. If not, you could try asking parents for collections or organizing events to raise money.
