Week 19 of 2021: First Spinning Class

This has been a mixed week. I had been spending more time watching YouTube life coaching videos, they were getting a little addictive. So, I have decided to wean myself off for now and am just taking things a day at a time. Elements of my life I cannot control – what will be will be! No amount of self-help videos can change that. So, to keep my mood high I am continuing to exercise lots. This week I had my first spinning class after signing up to join the gym.

Let’s just say it was hard! I must be very unfit as I really struggled keeping the pace the instructor wanted. I was lucky three other people hadn’t turned up to spinning so I could get used to the bike without an audience. On the plus side I didn’t fall off. But I do need to up my game by Friday when the more experienced spinners will be back!!!

Science Experiment

My youngest had to do a science experiment for his homework. He chose the rising waters experiment which was quite interesting. For this you just need a glass jar, a candle and water. You can also add food dye if you want to colour the water to see the experiment happening more clearly. Then he had to write about the theory of way it happened. I love how both my boys really enjoy their science lessons.

Blogging

It has been an eclectic mix this week with Swizzels sweets, Feel pregnancy supplements and a post about self-purifying water bottles. I haven’t got much planned for this coming week. However, the wonderful thing about blogging opportunities is they pop in your email inbox when you least expect! I am being sent some clothes soon, including a cute red dress I hope I can squeeze into!

Sundae

I had an amazing Curly Wurly ice cream sundae at the weekend! It was such an indulgent treat as I had really been watching what I eat lately. I think I will have to be more careful in the week now though as my good progress seems to be reverting. I don’t want to put back on all the weight I have worked so hard to lose!

Walking

I have been walking so much more lately. 10k steps I try for the minimum, but I have been getting 14k through to 19k steps a day too. The more the merrier I say. On my last walk with a friend, I found some painted stones especially for mental health awareness week. They gave me a lift. I included a picture below and as my feature picture for you to see. Thank you to whoever made them when your having a tough week it’s the little things that can help you survive the storm!

I hope that we continue to have our freedom and don’t go into another lockdown with the news of the Indian variant. I need to be able to get out and see my friends right now for their support and company.
