This time when I picked out items to review from Femme Luxe I made a beeline for clothes that would keep me warm and cosy for winter. I really loved the over-sized long sleeve hoodie. Staying warm is my biggest priority, plus it was such a comfortable fit. I like having a bit of extra room at this time of year. Especially with all the Christmas indulgences.

Hoodies and loungewear are what I like to wear best of all. Although to be fair I did enjoy reviewing some dresses with Femme Luxe earlier in the year. I have seen a few more hoodies I would like to add to my collection. Black was my first choice as black is a flattering colour for your figure.

Is Black Always The Best Choice?

As you get older it is wise to have some colour in your wardrobe too. Apparently black can highlight those pesky shadows under your eyes and draw attention to wrinkles on your face! Something I certainly suffer from.  FEMME LUXE also offer the same hoodie in pale khaki, wine and grey if you fancy something different and less ageing. I would quite happily wear them all! It’s a long winter after all. They are on sale at the moment for £11.99 so it doesn’t even cost much to stock up! Why I love loungewear?

I was also sent this black ribbed belted loungewear set £24.99 which is great for pottering around the house and still looking stylish. You could imagine just adding some sparkly earrings and heels and this would transform this outfit to outdoor wear quite easily.

Bear in mind its always a good idea to separate loungewear from pyjamas. This helps you get in the right mindset to work from home. So don’t be tempted to work in your sleepwear invest in some lovely new loungewear instead. You get more out of your day from changing out of your pj’s. It’s great you don’t have to compromise on comfort though! If you have to do a zoom meeting you will still feel confident in your cosy wear! It’s snug but presentable at the same time.

I love how loungewear feels, it’s not rigid and uncomfortable to wear. Apparently when we are comfortable we have better focus and concentration. So look for soft fabrics that are breathable when making your choice. If your clothes sit uncomfortably on your body you are more likely to be distracted. I love how loungwear feels very gentle on my stomach and hips. Whenever I wear tight skinny jeans I would feel agitated after awhile. The pressure on my stomach wasn’t good for my health, so from choice I will always pick leggings and loungewear nowadays.

This last year I think I have spent more time indoors, so loungewear seems a sensible investment. It’s so easy to throw in the wash and its quick to dry too! I am quite glad I don’t have to wear suits anymore like I used to following my management degree.
