CARAT London Tennis Bracelet Review

With Valentines not too far away its time to think about beautiful gifts for your loved ones. Jewellery is always a popular choice so I thought I would inspire you with a piece I was sent to review.

Let me introduce you to the rather stunning Francine Round Prong Tennis Bracelet from CARAT. This is an exquisite piece. I love how the light catches the stones; they really do dazzle on your wrist. It is a sophisticated item of jewellery made from sterling silver with a white gold finish. The stones have been cut and polished so have an attractive sparkle. The Round Brilliant cut has 58 facets to refract and reflect light. This type of cut is very popular for its superior white light reflection.

It is a piece of jewellery that will really be noticed. CARAT use hand and machine cut Cubic Zirconia crystal, which have the appearance of being just like real diamonds. I can’t wait to wear it on my wrist to add more elegance to my outfits.

I was really impressed with my experience with CARAT. My item arrived quickly and beautifully packaged in a luxury gift box. I will definitely work on my husband to get me a pair of CARAT studs to compliment my gorgeous new bracelet.

Why Is It Called A Tennis Bracelet?

Not following tennis myself I was rather curious. But “tennis bracelet” was a term created by professional tennis player Chris Evert back in 1987. During one of her matches at the US Open her diamond bracelet broke and fell off. The match was put on hold until she could reclaim her bracelet. This inspired the jewellery companies to go off and make a bracelet with a secure clasp.

A Little Bit About The Company

CARAT was founded almost 20 years ago so are very experienced in their field. They are leading the way with more sustainable lab created gemstones. Stones created in their sister brand lab GENTLE DIAMONDS have fewer flaws than those mined. These stones usually have the same chemical composition (molecular and atomic makeup) of those found in nature but have a lower carbon footprint.

Working conditions in mines are dangerous. There are few regulations and more than a million of children are forced to work in them too given their smaller size to reach stone deposits. Mining also impacts eco systems with soil erosion, water contamination and habit loss. So, CARAT is the ideal place to shop for your jewellery this Valentines if you are conscious of your impact on the environment.

Why Jewellery Makes A Good Gift?

A gift of jewellery makes the recipient feel important and cherished. It is a gift that will last, unlike chocolates that you soon eat or flowers that sadly wither and die. You can look at your bracelet all year round and be reminded how much your partner loves you. Jewellery can also be an investment or become a family heirloom to be passed on to future generations, so it can be money well spent.
