Week 4 of 2022: Friends And Weddings
Somehow, I have managed to skip another week so straight from week 2 to week 4. Life seems to be incredibly busy at the moment. We have been getting our house clean and tidy as we had an estate agent over to value it and list it for sale. This is round two of trying to sell our house. Our first experience wasn’t particularly fruitful or enjoyable. We are feeling much more confident with these new people. I guess time will tell, but I am optimistic.
Friends Over

We had friends over for a bit of a buffet. It’s been ages since we hosted an event in our house, it seems a shame we don’t have people over more often. We have a house big enough to entertain yet rarely do. I guess we just get busy leading our day to day lives, caught up juggling work and other commitments.
Afternoon Tea
My husband and I went out for afternoon tea using a voucher my mum gave me for Christmas. It was lovely to get out together just the two of us. We were celebrating the fact we managed to get the house tidy for the valuation! Now we just need to try and keep it tidy…
Honey Buns

My friend was lucky enough to have a delivery of honey buns fresh from the oven from one of her friends. It’s fab when you have friends who have friends that bake! I really enjoyed it.
Competitions
I have had two competition wins lately. Firstly, something from Wisdom Toothbrushes, am guessing a toothbrush we shall see what turns up in the post. Secondly a product of my choice from ARK skincare so I went for a Reverse Gravity Eye Cream (£48) as the skin under my eyes could definitely do with some attention.
Sunday Dinner

We went out for a Sunday dinner. We haven’t been eating out much this month as it was time to save up for my tax bill. However, it was a nice treat and with one of the children out with friends it worked out a little cheaper than normal. I do need to start saving my tax money month by month though and not just having a mad panic the month before!
Blogging
My blog seems very focused on weddings at the moment, with posts about planning an outdoor wedding, wedding gifts and the differences found in an Asian wedding. On the topic of weddings my husband and I have been talking about renewing our wedding vows. I always thought it would be fun to do it in Vegas with “Elvis” but if we get a new house with a bigger garden, it might be something to plan to do there with just our nearest and dearest. You don’t have to wear a hat Sim, if that’s not your thing when it comes to weddings.

It sounds like you have been busy, a good sort of busy though. Exciting times. Good luck with selling your house.
What yummy looking food. Those honey buns look amazing. x
Good luck with selling your house. We thought about vows renewal a few years ago, but by now we’ve changed our minds. I think a garden party must be better than Vegas, but, of course, this is a personal preference. Our idea was a train or a special location like that, which is, possibly, why we’ve decided to drop the idea.
Sounds like a busy week. Good luck with putting your house on the market again and selling it. That afternoon tea and the buffet look amazing. Love the look of the honey buns as well. #project365
Good luck with the house sale, I remember the nightmare of trying to keep our house tidy when my son was little, hope you have better luck than we did! #365
Good luck with selling the house. Keeping everything crossed for you that it is fruitful. Life does seem incredibly busy again, doesn’t it? Great that you are entertaining again. It is something we need to get back into the habit of doing.
Good luck with selling the house, I don’t envy you. Moving can be quite chaotic. Well done with the wins. Hope you get the tax bill sorted. My cousin got married in Vegas, not with Elvis but he did turn up for the photos afterwards, it was a great day. We thought about renewing our wedding vows on our 20th anniversary this year, but I doubt it’ll happen.
Good luck with selling your house, we would love to move however there is just nothing for sale out there at the moment
I loved writing my wedding posts in the lead up to our own wedding a few years ago. Maybe we’ll have to do a vow renewal so I can post about weddings again! Lots of yummy looking food this week, mmmm. #project365
Love an afternoon tea! I have never heard of Hunny Buns they sound amazing. Entertaining sounds fun. Our house isn’t big enough. Good luck with selling your house. It is a debate we are having at the moment but everything is just so expensive! #365
