Christmas, Gifts, Toys and Games

Get Ready for Christmas, the Smyths Catalogue has LANDED!

The Smyths catalogue launches instore tomorrow or you can request one to be sent in the post if it’s more convenient.  The boys have already been excitedly browsing through the toys and picking out their favourites.  There is something quite thrilling about picking out your own choices!  The boys don’t see many adverts as they mainly watch Netflix so for them looking through the Smyths catalogue suddenly opens their eyes to a whole host of opportunities!

It is quite a lengthy process browsing through the Smyths catalogue neither of them wanted to be rushed.  They take in every little detail, read all the descriptions and debate which toy will make the final cut.  Narrowing it down to a few select toys is always a struggle as lots of things hold their interest.  They don’t seem to have a budget in their minds, so when I dot up their lists I do have a mild heart attack!  But it helps getting your catalogue early, then you can start saving enough money for the big day.

We don’t have believers anymore, but it doesn’t mean the excitement of a new catalogue landing has faded!

Smyths Catalogue

They are still eager to write lists for “Santa!”.  I have lots of inspiration now as I really was wondering what on earth to get them!  As they get older I think its harder to pick out suitable gifts, you need to let them look through a catalogue and see where what captures their attention.

NERF

Both the boys seem keen to get into NERF again.  Before now I cleared out ALL the guns as I was fed up with them shooting each other and having tantrums when one or both got hurt!  They had multiple warnings and never listened so I finally I carried out my threats and removed them from the house.

Well youngest soon spotted the NERF Rival Face Mask at £14.99 thinking it would offer the protection to their face that would hopefully put an end to all the arguments!  I must admit I wish this had been around sooner.  It could have saved my sanity a bit sooner.

Treasure X

They are intrigued by these action figures.  They have always been a fan of mini figures.  We have collected our fair share over the years, but these do look slightly different.  A bit pricey for £9.99 but then again you do have a chance of finding real gold dipped treasure!

Air Hockey Table

This would be a lot of fun in their games room.  They already have a pool table, so it would add a bit of variety in there assuming we can squeeze it in!  I like them getting things like this because when friends visit it keeps them off the PS4.

LEGO

Still a firm favourite with my eldest.  He likes building quite complicated models and displaying them in his room.  Although I don’t think I will stretch to the LEGO Creator Expert Tai Mahal at £269.99!!!  Even if he is a master LEGO builder “Santa” has their limits.
