Great Ways to Treat Yourself This Fall

You deserve to treat yourself every once in a while.  After all, you work hard and should reward yourself here and there. Go right ahead and recognize just how motivated you’ve been all year.  Just think how much a new cozy item of clothing would make you feel comforted and consoled as the cold depths of fall and winter begin to emerge.

Then turn your attention to the inside of your home.  Start to introduce some different colors to warm the place up. Look to getting some good books to read, and treat both your body and mind by learning how to prepare and cook some of the most delicious and nutritious foods and meals you can think of.

Stay Cozy and Warm

This fall, ensure that you stay warm and cozy with the help of plenty of warm snuggly clothes that comfort you on the more chilly days.  Get blankets for the bed and the couch and know when you should stay in.  Then nourish your body with healthy foods whilst reading by the fire, and avoiding the blistering winds outside. Weather in fall can be unpredictable.  Always check the forecast before leaving your home, and make sure that you’re prepared.

Stay cozy with the help of a cashmere sweater and dress from State Cashmere, plenty of chunky woolen knits (think more sweaters, scarves, and hats), waterproof coats with large hoods, and woolen socks.

Decorate Your Home

Fall signifies the end of summer and leads up to the beginning of winter.  For some it can be a little depressing. So, if you’re worried about the long dark nights ahead, the cold weather, and the general lack of outside activities to do over the course of these months, then busy yourself with tasks around the home.  Focus on activities that are going to make you feel warm both on the outside and the inside.

Decorate your home with warmer shades, and add textures that are homely and comforting. Paint an accent wall in burned orange.  Treat yourself to new crockery in hues of deep red, orange, and pinks, and be sure to introduce flowers and plants so to keep a feeling of life and vibrancy alive.

Comfort Foods

Fall is hearty pumpkin soup season, right? Fall offers up some of the most opportune moments to treat yourself and your family to some home-cooked foods that are nutritious and packed full of vitamins, minerals, and goodness. Decide upon some family favourites by asking your kids what they’d like to eat.  Then go to the store to look for plenty of root veg and flavorings.  Some spice is good – just check to make sure your kids are happy with some fiery flavors!

Try rustic bread for dipping in soups, some quality butter, and whole wheat carbohydrates that can provide some much–needed energy after returning from a walk in the fallen leaves, and returning home to snuggle on the couch, light candles, watch films, and stay cozy.
