Actually, diving straight back in just a week later with another weekly update! That’s nothing short of a miracle for me. But boys are both hard at work in their jobs now the summer holidays are here. So, I have a little bit more free time to focus on everything blog related.

Busy Blogging

Top of my list is starting to revive Reluctant Traveller. I have so much to do. I think I must have moved it over to WordPress and then left it at that point. As I don’t seem to have been very SEO focused back then. So, I am now adding feature pictures, focus keywords and sorting out readability! Gosh the poor site had been so neglected. But that will all be changing going forward. I have my work cut out but I am determined to get it sorted.

Expect lots of new travel related content shortly once its at the point it needs to be. Travel is my favourite thing after all. Don’t let the name Reluctant Traveller deceive you, that name is for my husband! But I have managed to drag him to Lake Garda and we have Vegas later in the year, so perhaps he is warming to the travel theme after all.

Lots of Eating

Any good intentions to watch what I eat are well and truly forgotten. It’s been a week of lots of treats. Eating out twice with my husband. I am hooked on loaded fries at the moment.

Plus I had an afternoon tea at my friends house. It was lovely to catch up with her and enjoy a leisurely few hours catching up and eating. Hopefully we can plan to do a few more things over the summer holidays.

My eldest son decided to make pancakes the other day! I was impressed with the results. The stack of pancakes looked very tempting even if it was drowning in maple syrup.

Our Romanian Rescue

I haven’t shared a photo of our beautiful Romanian rescue dog Bella in a while. So the feature picture is of her napping.

We have been so blessed with our little dog. She has such a wonderful temperament. We have had since March 2022, and we feel so lucky to have her as part of our family. Our other dog Summer can be quite reactive so it’s a pleasure walking a dog that really embraces life, happy to see other dogs and always welcomes a fuss.

Mind you Summer and Bella make an awesome tag team! They love wrestling with each other. It’s given Summer a new lease of life. Although I do think Bella might be the boss.

Community Work

I have been busy with my community work with the Co-op. We are gearing up to picking our next local causes for round 9. We have had to drop from three causes to two now, so Member Pioneers are just getting used to that adjustment. But the Co-op board and council had their reasons, and I am sure it will all work out perfectly when the dust settles.

Summer Jobs

We haven’t really got any plans for the summer holidays as the boys are committed to their jobs. I guess its good we did so much when they had more freedom when they were younger. Hopefully at some point they will have the same day off and I can drag them on an adventure! Otherwise, you might have to make do with more pictures of what I am eating each week… sorry! Having said that it is wonderful for the boys to earn their own money and it really helps with their work ethic, understanding the value of working for a living.
