There are lots more board games appearing ready for Christmas.  This latest one from Megableu is lots of fun. The aim of Tumball (RRP £17.99) is to balance your white beads onto the suspended balls before they tum-ball!

You really need steady hands if you want to win this game.  The aim is to get rid of your beads first. If any fall you must add them to your collection.  That means you are at a disadvantage in your quest for victory! So be careful with the wand and place your bead as delicately as possible!

I love that the concept it is easy to understand so children can dive straight into the game. It doesn’t require batteries which is another welcome bonus. From choice I much prefer games without batteries.  You don’t have to worry about the added expense of running them. Set up takes a few moments but you soon get the hang of it and get quicker each time you play, its not overly complicated and the instructions are very clear.

It’s quite strategic as you must plan the position of your beads, so they don’t cause the balls to shake and separate. It’s tough with our youngest as he is rather heavy handed so we all hold our breathe and hope the balls stay intact!!! I think it’s a good game to develop motor skills as children have to control their hands to be successful.

You can watch a short clip below to give you a better idea of the game, the balls don’t start pulling faces and looking a bit tense as you lower the beads (but you can still imagine them doing so!).
