Emoji’s are huge at the moment.  Many of us have watched The Emoji Movie and lots of us communicate in emoji’s these days! Naturally the Emotify game from Jumbo Games was a big hit with my family as Emoji’s are slowly taking over our life.  Pile of poo is the boys favourite, they even have night lights of that one. I feel an urge to add some emoticons into this blog post but trying to show some restraint.  Yes I guess even I am hooked too.

It Can Be Quite Tricky!

You use the emoticon symbols you are given to try and get the other players to guess your answer from different categories.  Brand name, action, friend, place, leisure activity or famous person. It’s quite tricky but that’s makes it even more fun!  You hear hilarious guesses because sometimes the other players have absolutely no idea what your emoticons are trying to say!

I don’t think that detracts from the game though.  In fact its challenging as you don’t always know what to do with the emoticons you have been dealt.  The results can be very entertaining. I would recommend you stick with the age range (10+) as younger children might get frustrated by the concept.  Although my almost nine-year-old was happy enough.

There are 350 different double sided emoti chips so it means the games are very varied! If the other players don’t guess your answer you have to take the same number of chips as you used in that round. This happened frequently but you do get better with practise. If your feeling particularly confident why not try and play all 10 chips, you will either win the game very quickly (the first team to get rid of all the chips is the winner) or most likely just end up with LOTS more chips!
