Booking A Family Holiday to Ko Samui

Lately I have been getting more of a travel bug!  I want to see the world before I get too old.  It must be the fact I turn 40 this year and I am having a bit of a midlife crisis.  Whatever it is I am tempted to spread my wings and see more of the beautiful world we live in.  One destination that really interests me is Thailand, but I would prefer one of the islands.  Ko Samui sounds ideal, so much to do whilst still having that island laid back mentality that suits me best.

Accommodation

A villa would be a good option for us.  As a family it’s wise to have space to spread out.  There is nothing worse than being crammed in the same bedroom for the duration of your stay.  The children need another bedroom at the very minimum, so I can get them off to sleep and enjoy my own downtime and privacy!

Whilst looking at booking a villa in Samui for our family trip it’s important to pick out a reputable firm.  Reassuringly each villa is inspected to make sure it meets the high standards expected by the firm.  The handpicked few cater for your needs perfectly.  Each one offers a taste of paradise, with stunning views and all the amenities you could possibly need.  I would be thrilled to have a private pool!  When the boys play ball games I wouldn’t be panicking they will end up hitting other guests by mistake.  We would all have so much more freedom to enjoy our holiday.

A Villa With Staff

I like the extra special part of booking somewhere that comes with its own staff!  It doesn’t even bump up the cost that much compared to other villas we have priced up.  The villas at Samui.Villa are very luxurious.  It feels so much more fancy having someone there just to cater to your needs.  For a special occasion its worth spending a bit more to have a better quality of experience.  A real break from home, with someone else to set up for dinner and clear up afterwards.

Samui.Villa also have excellent customer service to make sure your holiday is perfectly tailored to your needs.  If you have any special requests they can arrange these for you to make sure your holiday is as stress free as possible.  They know the island, so you are in safe and capable hands.

Attractions

There is plenty of choice to keep busy during a stay on the island.  I have picked out a few of my family favourites.

Samui Elephant Sanctuary

My favourite animal as a child was the elephant!  To visit an elephant sanctuary would be a dream come true.  This incredible place has recused six of these beautiful creatures and given them safe haven.  You get to feed the elephants and see how their lives have been transformed.  Coming to Thailand I would prefer to give back to the elephants.  I want to avoid doing the usual tourist thing and riding around on their poor backs.  Here they have the freedom to roam and explore.

Boat Cruises

There are so many different choices of excursions by boat.  You can do some island hopping and snorkelling.  But make sure you book a later cruise to take in the view of the beautiful setting sun.  Some of the beaches are completely unspoilt and uninhabited and you can see lots of amazing fish in the clear blue waters.

Cookery Class

You can book an authentic cookery class that starts off in the market getting the ingredients and then shows you how to cook lots of local dishes.  It’s something the whole family could benefit from.

With one of these villas I would be tempted to try a extended family holiday again!  I won’t ever compromise on not having enough space again.  Plus I really like how Samui.Villa will plant a mangrove tree for every villa stay booked!  It’s nice to know your leaving something positive behind after your stay.  I want to be a tourist that really cares about the destination I am visiting.
