When I was little I always dreamed of having my own horse.  I used to have weekly riding lessons and loved every moment I was out on the bridle paths.  My boys have both enjoyed having a few horse riding lessons themselves.  It’s wonderful they share my enthusiasm.  My son also loves drawing so he was delighted to sketch a picture of his dream horse.

The idea was it would then be transformed into a soft toy thanks to the kind people at Petplan Equine.  The campaign is all about encouraging children to be creative and use their imagination!

His Dream Horse

Here he is with his picture.  His dream horse is meant to be the same red all over so we let Petplan know that.  Typically the red pen he started drawing with ran out before he could finish!

It’s good having a chat with your children about horses hopefully they will be responsible horse owners in the future.  Such as making sure they have Petplan Equine Horse Insurance and cover all the essentials, like exercise, suitable shelter and providing nutritional feed.  I am one of those people who never skimps on insurance.  I like having the reassurance for every inevitability when it comes to my much-loved pets.  It would be my worst nightmare not having enough money to pay for veterinary treatment.  Whereas monthly insurance payments are much more affordable for everyone.

It’s a big commitment getting a horse, so I am glad for now we are just welcoming a soft toy version into our home!  My son was so excited.  He would ask every day when his horse would arrive.  It was a happy day indeed when he first saw his lovely horse.  It is a keepsake he will treasure forever.  The custom-made soft toy is adorable.

They managed to recreate his drawing perfectly.  The same big eyes, flowing mane and curved back legs!  He didn’t go with a unicorn or add wings to make it a Pegasus.  It’s just bright and bold and we all love the soft as it is.  His first attempt was more conventional, with different shades of brown.

I am glad he went with the red colour, its more interesting.  His horse causes an impact.  According to him he is so soft and cuddly too.  My son thinks his personality would be quite funny too.  His dream horse would enjoy cracking jokes!  Probably a bit like him in that respect.  My son enjoys entertaining us.
