Reasons To Buy Your Partner Flowers

I really can’t tell you the last time my husband bought me flowers.  So, it must have been a VERY long time ago!  Back when we were first together it was quite a common occurrence.  I guess it was all part of the wooing that goes on when you first fall head over heels in love!  I guess now we are bogged down in family life, we have other worries.

Nowadays, there are a lot of online flower delivery services. You can organize flower delivery to Switzerland, Australia, South Korea or around the globe.

So, here are my top reasons to buy your partner flowers.

No Reason At All

Yes, that really is the best reason.  After the initial wooing I only used to get flowers when he had done something wrong.  Flowers don’t seem quite so special then.  You want to be surprised!  Those romantic gestures are very special and remind you of those glorious days when you first dated.  When things could be spontaneous!  Before kids came along and with them a list of unending responsibilities.

To Cheer Them Up

If they are feeling a bit down flowers can be a real pick-me-up!  For me the summer holidays can be tough.  I blog late into the night and panic I am not keeping on top of everything.  The next day is like Groundhog Day all over again, the kids need constant feeding, distracting and entertaining.  Sometimes I feel like I am on my last legs.  Some flowers would just brighten my day and make me feel appreciated.

To Stay Connected

If you are in a long distance relationship it’s worth noting you can get flowers delivered in Sydney and anywhere else in the world.  My husband and I initially lived a six-hour train journey away from each other.  It was hard not seeing him every day.  But he kept things exciting sending me treats in the post, calling me every day and visiting as often as he could.

These types of relationships can be tough, when you’re not sharing everyday experiences together you can start to feel like your detached from each other’s lives.  Little gifts can help make your partner feel important and give them a reminder of your love.  Although if you want something longer lasting you can consider faux flowers.

To Soothe Them

Flowers are said to be very calming.  The pleasant fragrances and abundance of green can soothe even the most anxious of people.  Lavender works wonders if you are feeling stressed or anxious. It can help your partner relax.  If they are feeling more chilled your life will be easier too!

This blog post might also be a GIANT hint to my husband I am long overdue a bouquet!  Let’s just hope he is reading.  I will let you know if it works!  I quite fancy some yellow tulips, even more so since I found out they represent eternal love!
