As a family we all enjoyed watching Secret Life of Pets 2. The film makes us realize how much we love our pets, each with their own unique personalities. Although perhaps not quite as “unique” as the motely crew on Secret Life of Pets 2!
Max
We liked the development of the characters. In this film Katie falls in love and has a baby so that’s a whole new experience for Max dealing with baby Liam! But Max soon develops a lovely bond with the child and is very protective, if not a bit panicky about his wellbeing! He learns to cope better with his fears after a holiday in the country taking on board the advice of Rooster the farm dog. Who acts all tough but gets quite attached to Max by the end of his stay.
Gidget
There are some quite funny moments like Gidget the Dog embracing her inner cat! She does this so she can blend in with a house full of cats trying to get back Max’s Busy Bee toy he had entrusted her to look after. It is a big responsibility as its Max’s favourite toy in the whole world! Gidget goes to great lengths to get it back! Making a few much needed allies for later in the film. It’s good to know her cat lessons with Chloe weren’t wasted!
Snowball
Snowball a completely reformed character from the first film! He considers himself a superhero now AKA Captain Snowball, parading around in a full costume ready to look danger square on in the eye! What he lacks in superhero skills he makes up for with heaps of enthusiasm. He decides to go and “help” Daisy rescue a white tiger cub trapped in the circus. Although to be fair it is Daisy that does most of the rescuing!!!
There are a few different story’s, but they weave together perfectly.
